For everybody on the Billings train.

Most of you I hope, would agree we have a better list than Sh**Kilda.

If that's the case and Ross Lyon is happy to let him go, it's because Ross Lyon thinks Billings is crap.

Let that sink in. Their midfield is rubbish and he's prepared to let Billings go.

And we now think as soon as Bevo lays his hands on him, he'll become a gun?
And Freo thought Acres was useless how's that looking for them now?

FA compo is completely screwed. It needs to be reviewed this off-season, ideally removed entirely (or otherwise something like you suggest). The blatant rorting of the system is a blight on the league which calls itself professional.
Let's wait until after English either re-signs or goes shall we?

I don’t mind Coffield and Billings as cheap options both are upgrades on our depth.

Been saying for a while that our first 15 selected are as good as any other team and probably top 4, the next 7-8 selected are bottom 4 quality. Improve that 7-8 through some development and bringing some players in.

Coffield and Billings improve on the output of guys like Scott, Arty, McNeil, Baker, VDM etc. who played a lot of games.

I’m banking on improvement from some younger guys who are in the 16-26 player bracket. These include Arty, West, Poulter, Cleary, Buss, JOD, Clarke.

Then banking on better injury run from Darcy, Garcia, Gallagher and Bedendo (I think he will surprise a few)

But adding Coffield and Billings to that 16-26 list improves us.

Not surprised by the their a spud comments happens every year then in 6 months time if that players performs the same people will be saying why didn’t we get them

Billings will be played at Half Forward if he came to the Dogs.
The club are desperately trying to get speed into the front half, Hence the Watson link aswell.
Is another sort of hybrid half forward really what we need though, I wouldn’t say Billings has much speed left to be honest and he sure as hell doesn’t use it to pressure & defend which is what we need most of.

I’m not against him for free, he’s definitely an upgrade on some other battlers that we give games too but he’s a little bit ‘more of the same old shit’ for mine. Just don’t think he’s really what we need in the front half and don’t particularly rate him on the wing either.

St Kilda have good wings. Much stronger than ours, wangerneen, wood, hill and also likely Liam Henry. I’m happy to take a moderate down ground on a couple of positions on the field. We can’t have the best of every position.

Billing’s on a wing is better than anything we’ve got. Billing’s won’t play midfield. The only issue I have is that he doesn’t make us tougher.

Coffield is a no brainer.

Dale down back is done. Push him to the wing, Billings other wing and Williams Half forward rotating with Billings is a significant upgrade on what we had this year

Maybe Billings plays on the wing and we can push Bailey Williams back to half back full time.

Half forwards are exactly what we need.
I agree Billings isn't the answer though, however as depth instead of Hannan or McComb and to make a trade for Coffield easier I would give it a pass.

Personally, I think a better use of my email address would be accepting an offer of endless money in exchange for my bank details from a Nigerian Prince.

You may think otherwise.
