Flynn off to the Eagles - Sweet would be back up there too. And perhaps behind the b-model Bailey Williams
Personally don’t rate Flynn at all and think Sweet would challenge him at the very least. They seem keen to move Williams into a fwd/ruck role anyway

Is Trey Ruscoe delisted from the Pies worth a look?

Think he should get a chance somewhere.

Started forward at Collingwood and it didn’t look like it quite clicked, move to half back at the end of his second season and had some really promising games. Nice size, had some good skills and looked more natural in that defense role. Obviously the Collingwood backline is very strong and he didn’t even look like getting a look in the last two seasons.

His VFL numbers look solid, can’t say I’ve watched any of Collingwood’s VFL games the past few years. I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get another chance at AFL level in the next couple of years. If he doesn’t get picked up by an AFL team I’m sure Footscray would be very interested.

Lets hope Coffield can get his body right if he comes to us, if he and the club can sort out a good rehab plan, then his upside is great. He would slot straight into our best 22-25.
Hopefully he can get a decent crack at it. Kid had great talent as a junior. Also had great speed and was a great athlete

Is Coffield good? Who does he play like?
Coffield was the pick before Naughton and was touted to have outstanding leadership qualities with his strengths considered his athleticism, efficiency, evasiveness and versatility. He's become more an an intercept defender that can use the ball well and it definitely the versatile type of defender we should be in the market for.

He actually came 4th in the Saints B&F in his 3rd year (2020) before struggling with form the year after (2021). Did his ACL at the beginning of 2022 and didn't play a game of football due to a nagging calf injury until the back end of 2023 where he was fairly dominate in the VFL.

I think you could probably compare him to a Nathan Broad type of player.

With how rarely they test and how quickly stuff can get out of your system, you must be using quite regularly or extremely unlucky to receive multiple strikes
Except for weed. Can show in a piss test for up to a month! Ironic as it's the one of least concern and certainly not performance enhancing lol. Should just stop testing for weed IMO. Or at least test politicians and police too...

Excuse the intrusion

If you guys get Coffield for peanuts and he can stay on the park, he'll be the steal of the trade period.

Your welcome

What would you consider Peanuts?

What would you consider fair?

Is Coffield still hanging out with Claudia Schiffer and making people disappear?
Not since she married Brains from Thunderbirds and changed her surname to the most unfortunate hyphenated surname in history

It's hard to say as he's had the best part of 2 seasons out of the game. Clearly that will lower his value.

But in reality, he did an ACL then has some issues this year.

By all reports he'd trained the house down prior to the start of the 2022 season then did his ACL.

I (like quite a few saints fans) don't want to see him go. Imo Nick can be a very good footballer. Showed his potential in 2020.

I hope we find a way to keep him. We're not going to get much for him.

Any idea if the ACL has affected his athleticism?

Seems he has more value to you than you will get for him.

Fairly similar to Cleary maybe? With Coffield leaning more intercept marker & Cleary leaning more distributor?
