A bit late on this but returned to BF immediately after hearing about Coffield's trade request to the Dawgs. Made my day. Was distraught when we missed out on him in 2017 and unimpressed with our Naughton selection (haha!). His career has not exactly gone to plan but I reckon he's a beast, come hither.

Definately want North to have pick 1.

If WC retain it, it sounds very likely North go McKercher & Watson with 2 & 3 leaving Hawks to take Duursma and then probably forcing us to take Curtin as best available or reach slightly for Sanders who doesn’t really play a need for us in 2024.

If WC trade it it’s more likely to go:

North - Reid
WC - Curtin
North - McKercher or Watson (probs McKercher)
Hawks - Duursma
Dogs - McKercher or Watson

It’s still a pick too far for comfort that we will get one of McKercher or Watson but much more likely.

I can’t understand the Sanders hate. Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather Watson but his championship highlights are very nice. Some of his outside work, sidestepping, calmness and kicking skills are elite.

But yeah we do need pace and small forward craft first. But another mid, to add to our ageing midfield isn’t the worst thing is it?

Had a few clubs come knocking but chose the dogs because of the pitch from Beveridge and Power (Similar to Keath and Bruce).

The only party they can really trade with (and be sure of getting Curtin) is North.

Leaves North in a solid position to not have to overpay on extras.
