I get the impression the establishment want us to get the Lions first pick to compromise any oppotunity to get a better pick like the likes of pick 9 from Essendon.

I suppose we could use futures as well as later picks and give Essendon a pick or two after Kako gets picked up when desirable to both clubs

Yeah all good, was just going on what they were saying yesterday, Rosa felt like they would lose pick 9 on kako anyway so wanted to get an extra pick in this year's draft. So sacrifcing 14 instead of 9 would still net them an extra pick this year from a trade.
