No they didn't.People said the same thing about when Freo traded in Harley Bennell at the end of 2015.
Yeah I remember everyone saying trading for Bennell was a huge risk. Remember Dusty took him out clubbing? Rumour was Dusty said stay clear. No they didn't.
What does far more credentialed even mean?? I read that a lot Norm Smith medalists are even premiership winners too! Bobby Hill is certainly a much better player than Patrick Crippslook at the list of Norm Smith medallists versus Brownlow medallists and Norm Smith medallists are far more credentialled in the AFL fraternity on what they have done
Brownlow medallists are more about money for TV networks and a fashion show and a break for players events wise
Get with the programe mate...What does far more credentialed even mean?? I read that a lot Norm Smith medalists are even premiership winners too! Bobby Hill is certainly a much better player than Patrick Cripps
* Richmond should have held out for #10 + #11 without using #14 - Fremantle 100% would have blinked they would not have left Bolton high and dry after committing to him with no other trades in the works. Blair left something on the tableRichmond won trade week.
I have said my thoughts on Liam Baker , Shai Bolton and Dan Rioli being traded.
Liam baker was out of contract so not much could of been done.
Dont get wrong, I wont deny Shai Bolton is a good player. But my dockers paid way too much to get him. Richmond could of kept him for another season or 2. But that depends on what side of the coin you look at.
Dan Rioli was traded. Again like Bolton, you could of made a point of him staying for one more season. But richmond got picks 6 and 23. Had Rioli stayed for one more season, Suns could of made finals or contend for finals. Those 1st and 2nd rounder could of been mid 1st and mid 2nds like picks 10 and 28 or 13 and 31.
I wont be shocked if richmond uses pick 11 or 18 on draft night to trade for a future 1st.
I wont be suprised if pick 20 or 23 or 24 is traded for a 2025 2nd rounder.
Dude Harley was off the rails and spent 2 days in melbourne with RichmondPeople said the same thing about when Freo traded in Harley Bennell at the end of 2015.
Thats a nice piece of .............................
There's not enough meat in that deal for a trade to be considered IMO, even their F1 for 23 is weak considering the depth of this draft.Im a Feo supporter here with a trade suggestion of pick 20 for Brisbane's 2025 first rounder. You could tell Brisbane you are paying them the professional courtesy of saying you will bid on Ashcroft pick 1 and thats a ton of points meaning they will have to bring in points to get Marshal and Ashcroft from their current picks and they only have their first and an Essendon 3rd rounder in 2025. With the new bidding system even if the 1st is a late pick it looks like you could combine it with your second pick to get the earliest player requiring a bid as it looks like there will be some academy and father sons in the top 10.
You are the idiot that kept telling me i dont know how trades work when i TOLD YOUIm a Feo supporter here with a trade suggestion of pick 20 for Brisbane's 2025 first rounder. If we wanted to be right campaigners we’d call out as no 1 picIm a Feo supporter here with a trade suggestion of pick 20 for Brisbane's 2025 first rounder. Why bother bidding on any playerIf we wanted to be right campaigners we’d call out as no 1 pic
Ashcroft
Then lombard
Then kako
Then Sam Marshall
Then welsh from SA
Then lalor
AbsolutelyWhy bother bidding on any player
It does not benefit Richmond in any way and all it does is help teams with later picks come up the order
stuff them let them all get further down the order.
Specially the Kako bid , The later it comes the better and once he is taken the bombers will be looking to hand over their F1 for peanuts and we can take Bombers & Melbourne Future 1st rounders for #23 & #24
Absolutely
Who gives a toss if the AFL want the clubs to pay more fair value
The system is broken and clubs should make a stand by not bidding at all and force the afl to fix it properly
Sure the clubs who are fortune to have players available this year will get them on the cheap but it’s not like they wouldn’t of got them anyway
There no way we trading 20,23 or 24 for 2025 2nd rounder.Richmond won trade week.

Do you realise that if North finishes 6th then that 2nd round pick is 24?depends....
Would you trade one of those 3 picks if North Melbourne offers up their 2025 2nd rounder if you are confident they will finish bottom 6?
He has definitely changed his appearance recently.
I think it was that Dusty went home and had a good night's sleep. Bennell crawled in at .. whatever time. Dusty got him loose and saw the real man. then said, 'now way, stay clear'.Yeah I remember everyone saying trading for Bennell was a huge risk. Remember Dusty took him out clubbing? Potentially. Too inconsistentHere is the list of players from 2024 who averaged 15+ touches, 2+ clearances and 1.5+ goals per game:
Rankine
Bolton
And Bolton did it for the bottom team, when it’s said he checked out halfway through the year.
Make no mistake, you’re getting an absolute superstar just hitting the peak of his powers. He will absolutely dominate for Freo and barring injury is a lock for AA.
