Given
That 19 pick is going out till probably 22 or so. Deal is fair
this draft not being as well stocked as say next year, 12 and 19 for a proven midfield jet is excellent business.

Prestia trade mark 2.

Welcome TT!

So for our first and Coleman Jones, we get a gun 24 year old who wants to play full time midfield, and was best and fairest in his third season in a Grand Final side loaded with high draft picks/guns.

Improves us now and plays with us for at least 7 years.

On the flipside we could have had CCJ (haha) and 2022 pick 12 who wouldn't have improved us in 2023 and could have been a bust.

I know what I'd prefer!

The equivalent of what we may have just given up for a guy who is 25 and needs to be offloaded.

Or, and I didn't even have to go back as far as you.....

Those who think we overpaid is probably a combination of not realising how much of a gun Taranto is and how weak this draft is
Both I think mate - until it's our own and then they are being stolen.

I feel like we might try to get another trade done before we do the Hopper deal. I get the feeling that GWS would've given a future 3rd as well with the Taranto trade.

If we don't have a future 3rd YET, other clubs can't ask for it when we try to trade.

Might get tacked onto the Hopper trade later on, in addition to his actual value.
