What about Granger-Barrass at the Hawks. How can a kid with that much talent suddenly struggle so badly. If I was taking a risk I would prefer going after him. If it didn’t work we wouldn’t be locked into a long term expensive contract

Young and Balta as key defenders with the 193cm Browne as the sweeping Grimes is plenty.
Put Lynch, Sampson Ryan, and Gibcus in the fwd line.
Gibcus can rotate with Bauer back and fwd.
Miller out.
Next year....Gibcus fwd sounds good on paper. But untried. I'd be tempted to go for Georgiadis.
Is 193 Tom Browne on Richmond's list? Or 186 Tom Brown? Either way untried. Can't see him becoming a best 22.

Taberner's a dud - wouldn't even pick him up as a DFA. Not sure Johnson would all that valuable to The Filth - not getting a game and will be 27 this time next year. Not a dud but don't think he's all that great either. Better off trying to find some Podsiadly type in the state leagues for nix if we're going to go down that road.
****in hope not. Taberner is 30 and one of the most injury prone players in the league.
Johnson is okay bit not really a need. Rather pump games into Bauer.

TT, Shai and Hopper are the core but we are very thin if you consider the above. Whilst we don't need to trade high stakes for mids, we do need smart pick ups for depth that are low cost/high reward.
Sonsie and Dow aren't doing enough to say they're the answer.
Whilst our priority is KPF... We do need to look at midfield depth.
You are writing Sonsie of way too quickly imo
Taranto , Hopper , Ross , Sonsie are all similar paced and if you add Finlay its a pretty pedestrian midfield
Not writing him off at all but I only go by what I see and he has a long way to go in terms of application.
The talent is all there but he slid in the Draft for this reason and it's still an issue - you can only hope the penny drops at some point.
Let's please not include Ross as a midfield option as we know the club will NEVER play him as a centre bounce mid.
I don't care if it's Macrae, P Dow, R West, J Jordan etc.... But we need to look at low cost midfield depth.
Going to an interesting off season with Cotchin, Jack, Tarrant, George off the list.... And we don't know what's going to happen with Pickett.
Liam Henry would compliment Hopper, Prestia and Taranto well.
Fin MaCrae was a lte pick also #19 from memory which isnt too far away from Sonsie selection
Sonsie was rated alot higher pre Covid
Also im not too sure Fin will be such a low cost player whilst still in contract and if he is still not getting regular games after 2024 then he really has not developed as expected and might be just another Thomson/Paddy Dow
But i have not watched him for a year so who knows
