We’ll most likely get a top 5 pick for him next year if he stays.
I would doubt that unless you see GWS as not improving at all

GWS have bought in a new coach and he will have an immediate impact with a new game plan , There is so much talent on the GWS list that its crazy to think you wont be competing for the 8. The GWS game plan was shocking and cameron was the cause along with the assistants and team makeup in trying to play slowish inside mids in foreign positions just because they are high end talent and injuries didnt help.

But if you guys finish 7-10 there is no guarantee Hopper gets the same deal and what season he has in 2023 , in the mean time where do you play him ? Who misses out ?Another 600k out of the cap that may cost a young player ?

Richmond needed 5 A grade players in 2017 to win flag Dusty , Rance , Martin , Cotchin & Jack with the rest being team players
GWS have too many stars and not enough team players and all want to be the 'MAN'

Team of Champions v Champion team - That is the difference along with a good coach with a game plan that players have Buy in
more top end fraft picks mean more money which means more players leave. its a vicious cycle

Trading Day said GWS chasing Cadman so, Kingsley might be in a rush, but he is aware they have deficiencies.

If Kingsley was smart he would allow the honeymoon factor to play a role and maximise development not pushing for finals in 2023. He is going to need young talent on on the cheap/draftees to marry up with the senior players on big money for any chance of GWS list to steal a premiership in the medium term.

Even if they miss Cadman they need good draft picks to trade for specific structural targets to achieve their prize.

Doing a Collingwood is not going to help GWS

Next headline i want to see “Tigers get sick of GWS posturing, turn their attention to Dunkley now Dogs refuse to deal with dodgy Lions” ….

GWS keep Hopper, we get Dunkley for a F1 and Soldo. And get Hopper as a FA next year.

And then Soldo comes back to us when we're in our flag window.

**** I can't wait till this Hopper deal is done so people can stop proposing we just wait till next year to get him.

I hear where you are coming from and you make some valid points. I guess I just see it a bit differently when it comes to ralphsmith.

Have watched Miller carefully, and wasn't overly impressed with his backline work, For someone of his size he gets easily outmanoeuvred.
Seemed to find his way when Dimma put him in the ruck and rotating forward. He has good skills, good overhead and is much more mobile than Ivan.

Balta agree much prefer him back as eventually he and Gibcus will hold down FB and CHB. Samson Ryan another preseason under his belt would love him to get some games forward/ruck.

95% agree with this.
5% don’t agree with the call on Millers back line work. Thought he was good for only having a handful of games his had. Rance wasn’t setting the world on fire in his first ten or so games done back.
