Arrogance on whose part?

If hes got a contract the club has to honour it, renegotiate (e.g. two years at lower rare), or trade him.

Say what you want about george but if you cant honour contracts that makes you dishonest. Doesn't matter which player it is.

If Soldo leaves we better have a decent 2nd ruck lined up somewhere. It’d ruin our season if Nank got injured before the finals and we had to throw Samson Ryan into the ruck. We should be asking for Flynn or Preuss back if they’re so keen on Soldo

We aren't getting any decent draft picks for the next two years so I hope the recruits perform.
I think we are also banking on all of last years crop to be all quality.
I don't like it that Dunkley goes for less draft picks than Taranto but if we win a flag it's worth it.

He hasn’t moved yet ,,,,weve lost next years r1 ,,,coll have proven using levers like spp and mid season are excellent replacements

It's still beyond me how much of this negotiation is being leaked to the media.

Personally, I like it as it's interesting.
However, as a fan of our club and knowing how we like things to get done quietly, it drives me insane that GWS are providing a running commentary to the media.

Yes but GWS are also smart enough to know the AFL will absolutely bail them out and when he walks as a RFA next year it will conveniently be band 1 and they will probably be gifted a top 6 pick.

They have too many picks already. Suspect they are trying to swap them for next year picks but it makes sense to throw one back our way if they aren't going to use it.

I will be astounded if there is not a pick coming back our way. Undoubtedly the reason for the delay. Waiting to see the full extent of the giants picks after the Bruhn trade.

I thought GWS had to get rid of TT & Hopper for cap reasons. If that's true they just have to get Hopper off the list this year. If cap space is tight why not take a ruck option cheaper than Soldo. i.e. just use the 4 rucks on your list?
Including JH & TT, they'll have 8 players off the list. (Not a ruckman among them)
Maybe they can hang on to JH for another year and let him go next year.
