AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Its funny practically every poster has said that Grigg is shit and yet the Blues were quite keen to resign him and are seemingly disappointed to be losing him.
Also if the club is truly chasing guys like Sherman Grigg and Houli then they must rate their disposal if they are sticking by the mantra of only good ball users will be targetted.
Given this news, i wouldnt be suprised to see the opinion on either of those players change. I dont know what your second pick is, but i assume that would be around the mark. Given you hold all the cards here, you wont need to give that up. I severly doubt a deal will be done early. If we dont land a KP backman in the first 5 days a straight swap for Thursfield could be fair. I think if we dont get offered a pick lower than 38ish or an ok player we will hedge our bets, not trade him, trey and convince him to stay (whether that mean giving a pay rise or not) and if we cant, let him slide into the PSD. Really a pick in the 40's in this years draft wont mean to much to us, so im sure we just take our chances of him reconsidering.
Maybe he might be off to the suns. Because if the suns have spoken to him as well then id doubt we would match there offer, because we wouldnt be offering much and the suns wouldnt need to offer any picks. Gary Ablett needs protection and brennen going to it will help.
Cloke if the Pies the dont win a flag will be gone i believe, he has been offered 600k to move to the suns while Collingwood have offerred to take a cut, i beleive we have offered him 500k.
a whisper, tambling to the dogs
everitt to carlton
pick 18 to richmond
Nathan Djerrkura will be traded to the dogs as well.

For the record Grigg had a disposal efficiency of 72.5% last year from his 178 disposals. That would have seen him ranked 11th at Richmond for disposal efficiency, which is a better % than Deledio Cotchin Connors Martin Morton Cousins & Collins, who are all players that posters here rave about when it comes to having great looking kicks/disposal.
As for turnovers, he averaged 6.1 which would have also seen him ranked 10th at Richmond behind guys like Deledio Cotchin Connors & Martin
Finally he averaged 9.6 contested possessions, which would put him top 5 at Richmond for that stat behind Cotchin Martin Jackson & Tuck.
Like I said if Hardwick and co are chasing the kid they obviously rate him.

Pretty sure Carlton have already come out and said no deal to Everitt for pick 18. VERY VERY UNLIKELY IMO

Trade
4
Picks
That is all
Thank **** lots of you aren't our list managers.
Grigg averaged over 20 touches a game, half of them contested is a big body and young. If we get Grigg for pick 45 or through PSD we are not complaining in the slightest, I would be all for it.
Veszpremi - Is a young player with good speed over short distance and is quite hard at it but work needs to be done on his fitness however talent is there.
Sherman - 2009 he has over 500 disposals and kicked over 25?? We are reportedly giving up pick 29 for him and he is 23? Outside (we lack) He is a massive upgrade on Matt White and even Collins.
Houli - Knights and the other Essendon coaching staff are dead as door posts there are massive deficiencys in this guys game starting with his kicking, being crap under pressure and no left foot. He isn't quick he isn't a great mark doesn't have great hands. Spare me
I really hope we don't trade too much. Only for something we need eg: a ruckman and a forward. None of this Sherman rubbish, ffs.
It'll be fine Barnzy. They know what they are doing. Trust me.Or Grigg and Houli who are even worse.
Can trade week just come and go already so we can assess the damage? Very nervous. Hope Hardwick knows what he's doing, hasn't done much wrong so far though.

The General has not taken it well.By God they are a funny lot over at the Blues board, Grigg walks out on them and he is a pea hearted money hungry squib. A bloke walks out on another club to go to Carlton and he is looked upon as a hero.
The General has not taken it well.
For the last couple of years that moron has talked up Grigg as a superstar, but now he is nothing but a Greg Tivendale clone.
