24 players have found new homes through free agency or trades so far. The action is not as quiet as people think it is. Some multiple movements in some of these deals.

Turning into essendon, watch out in the future

Is there anybody outside of the Dogs that thinks Jones is worth #28? Certainly not the trade radio hosts.

You might want to turn your gaze inwards.

I say we all keep an eye on free agents next year. I think if Sloane puts off talks he's ours.

We'll not have to give up any picks in this scenario.

You know how there are players that are widely regarded guns but you just don't see it ... That is Sloane for me. I'm missing something.

Geelong picked up Rhys Stanley from St.Kilda for pick 26.Clearly our recruiting staff were asleep as we could have and should have been in the thick of these negotiations and could have traded pick 19 for him. He is perfect. Big marking mobile and will get excellent service from the midfield. Jones seems to be one of these players who will tease us. Tutt seems to be a like for like swap for Garlett although Garlett has the goals on the board. We haven't handled Robinson very well either. Looks as though we will lose him for nothing and I would surprised if a club did not snap him up in the draft.
Last time I saw Stanley play he had 4 goals kicked on him in a half before being shifted forward. If Watson had a game like that he would have been seen in the ones for at least 10 weeks. If he hadn't one the sprint no-one would know who he was.

s

so if we gave you pick 47 for watson, you guys would be angry ?

I wouldn't be. The value is probably fair given how long he has taken to come on as a former #18.

Watson could have a new lease of life as a forward and that would be interesting to see, but he can't break into the senior side consistently and has not come on as fast as he could have.

The point is that the market value is different to the supporter's emotional value. Suggesting we are the ones being unreasonable for not meeting your emotional value or your investment value is silly as neutrals agree our 3rd rounder is closer to the mark than our 2nd rounder.

Given the choice, most people would prefer to live on the Gold Coast rather than Western Sydney.

Yes, very much so. Western Sydney has zero redeeming factors.

Most GWS players don't even live out west.

I haven't been keeping up...
Was 28 even considered?
I would have thought just take it to PSD, 46 could still get us a decent player - we need all the picks we can get.
