How is a 31 (soon to be 32) year old dixon in our top 10.

This seems like disastrous list management

it cant be that bad if we've got a shitload of cap space. once those two's contracts are up we should have even more. dixon isn't worth much at his age and lycett probably won't get another.

a lot of players like ollie must have accepted unders because they're in a gambling syndicate with ken.

don't think we'll get that lucky with butters and rozee.

Why in the absolute f*** is spud Lycett our second highest paid player?
It’s simple really.

We have next to no players in the 26-30 prime age group.

In fact the only first 22 players we have in that age group besides wines is Alir Dbj and Amon.
(Our unique age grouping has been noted before)

Add to that lycett was signed as a free agent always pumps up price + reckon he was backloaded contract.

Pay would look like a graph that starts low, rises and peaks between 26-29ish and then lowers again.

Right now we’re just before a bunch of players start that peak.

IMHO we the list we have currently and even the injuries, we should be finishing top 8. The only position where we were found wanting more was Ruckman but Finlayson did more than what was asked of him. Any additions to this list should be taking us ladder on the ladder but given the liability we have in the form a certain Head Coach, I have to solely believe the players do something to stop listening to his stupid gameplan and come up with their own haha
We had a ruckman available for 20 out of 22 games this season who had a winrate of 5 wins, 2 losses when he did play.

To fill the tall defender position, we could have a look at overlooked kids from the past couple of drafts, who would have a bit of development in them.

Tyreece Lieu is one who was unlucky not to get drafted and Carlton have had a close look. Not super tall at 194cm but a powerful body, son of NZ and Samoan parents, was a rugby prospect. He's a draft option.

Was originally an inside midfielder , moved forward and now back. Not overly quick but strong.

Reckon we should play a dedicated Ruck and have Finny become the midfielder we want Dunkley to be. Use our assets on a key defender and a small forward instead.

Got good mail?

The last time I was so definitive on here posting about player movement was when I said on here Rockliff wanted to join Port - less than 24 hours later his choice to move to Port was confirmed officially.

Whilst this won't be announced any time soon, he wants to join his partner in SA who is a T Bird.
