FFS even channel 7 trolling port supporters now!!

They have been for years rarely missing an opportunity to sink the boot into us. Remember when their camera zoomed in on the Port Cap

on a back seat. The hatchet job on SPP etc etc.

Anyway back on topic, any chance we split our 1st and the Amon pick. Thus giving ourselves multiple options and not paying top dollar

for Dunks and Junior.

He took his mum to the Brownlow and she's not bad.

He takes his mum to the Brownlow and wants to go to Brisbane because his sister is there. Are we sure he isn't a long lost Targaryen?

The same Channel 7 page posted JHF for Matt Crouch and a second rounder a couple of months ago, their Georgiades/Rioli offering looks very reasonable compared to that.

Channel 7 has just lost the last memory of any credibility it once had. A 20 yo contracted key position player, in the top 5 young key position players in the league v a 28 yo uncontracted small forward on his last chance, all for a small pick upgrade.

Morons.
More than fair. Needs a sweetener from us - maybe future 1st?

West Coast will likely ask Port Adelaide to include Mitch Georgiades as part of a Junior Rioli trade, but the Eagles’ request is expected to be knocked back, reports 7 News Perth.

The Eagles on Tuesday night were left “bitterly disappointed” after Rioli informed the club of his desire to join Port Adelaide via a trade.

Rioli, who was part of the Eagles’ 2018 premiership, is out of contract but isn’t a free agent, so a trade needs to be struck in order for him to join the Power.

The free agency compensation selection Port gets for losing Karl Amon to Hawthorn is set to play a crucial role in the deal. But the Power are also interested in star midfielder Josh Dunkley, who remains uncontracted.

Riley Beveridge says a Dunkley decision will come in the next 24 hours.

That is surely good news for us?

Could be a huge trade for us if we get the nod. Not just getting him, but getting a pick that will satisfy WC. Amon compo should be off the table. Even a downgrade from 20ish to 35-38 is trash given the likelihood of getting good players at those picks. Anything 30 onwards I can live with for Rioli even though I don't want him but an early 2nd round pick should be a 'sack the recruiting department' level trade.

Pick 8+51 for Dunkley +26 (which will slide into the early 30s) is pretty close to the mark although it might need a sweetener like a future 3rd going to WB. We get Dunkley, Rioli, a good prospect around pick 20-22, 2 late reach project players (I assume one of them might be Montgomery's kid?) and that is a decent off season.

Call there bluff put him in the PSD if he gets through to us great if not move on.

Nah it’s all garbage the media keeping people engaged. Port/Eagles will work something sensible out but it’s going to keep West Coast fans entertained for a couple of weeks until they do. He won’t get walked in the draft.

You'd have to wonder the effect on playing opportunities on Dunkley's decision. He'd clearly take Drew's spot as a starting on-baller, knowing that Boak hasn't got much longer either. At Brisbane he'll be competing with Neale, Berry, McCluggage, Rayner, and Ashcroft.

raynor isn’t a midfielder and if he was he wouldn’t be fit to tie dunkleys shoelaces.

Raynor is a 15d 1 goal a game hff (in a successful team). Raynor is still living off the draft pick hype. Decent flanker. His most clearances he’s ever averaged is 2.4 (in a team with a fairly well set up and coached midfield).

I don’t think brisbanes midfield would be harder to get games than ours

Initially it’s pretty strong

Neale Zorko and Lyons, but those guys are all 29/30.

Behind that there’s mcluggage and berry, but beyond that it’s honest triers.

Dunkley also walks into our starting midfield over drew, but we’re only losing one mid (who we’ve already started phasing out) in the next few years, as opposed to brisbane, who lose their entire starting on-ball brigade soon-ish. And instead of having Eli smith, Mathieson, Robertson (whose leaving anyway) Robinson we’ve got Spp, duursma Bergman sinn

Mcnuggage is their most important mid outside of Neale and I’d add lachie Jones to our list of developing mid-pincherooni’s after a couple more pre seasons.

Rozee
Butters
Dunks

Mind you what’s the point in attracting gun mids when we have no one to feed it to them?

If dunks does come, it’ll surely nuke his career averages.. no more English silver servicing him all day long.

Would happily add Kyle Dunkley to our rookie list.

Yes, but ken is in Adelaide. There isn't a player in the afl who doesn't love this guy and wouldn't jump at the chance to be tutored by the most advanced, caring, loving and genius mind that is ken hinkley.
Yeah but his brother is moving to Adelaide next year for un

It does nothing to our mid term needs to get in the window.

It kicks the can down the middling road for another 12-24 months.
