It's irrelevant what Adelaide can offer because it's not a bidding war. JHF nominates his club and then the negotiations begin.

Salary wise, I doubt there will be much difference between what the two clubs are offering.

he would be an absolute certainty to come to us

just get it done, make the offer this year, couple of first rounders (our first and the amon pick) and a decent player

I totally agree with your first lines.
I remember hearing last year, or it could have been start of last year. About the draft I heard an interview with an assistant from wet toast pretty sure it was, pretty much saying that going forward no draftees will be taken that haven't attended private school. Does anyone else recall/know anything more about this.
I don't recall if it was the club or the league being referred to.

Just like Cousins, Kerr and Gardiner? Not sure about Fletcher, Hunter and Chick though.

You know they will come to the table listing guys like Butters, Rozee, Marshall, Georgi, and why wouldnt they open with that sort of gambit. If he does nominate a team, it is going to be a long trade week for that supporter base as they try to nut out a deal.

I still don’t know what we haven’t thrown the sink at Zac Bailey.

You never know, Miles and Miller Bergman are brothers aren't they? Certainly a closer link than "Zak's mate in the 2's"
They both play AFL football and have similar strengths and weaknesses as footballers and were born a couple of years apart and come from the same state and look pretty much the same and have the same surname and very similar first names, but they're actually not related. It's like the AFL Evolution create-a-player glitched.

Sure they aren’t related. Next you’ll try and tell me that Robbie and Sam Gray aren’t brothers.

If he wants to return home just find a way to get it done, and why wait until next year. North Melbourne will have a new coach next year, it could be Clarko for all we know so things could change dramatically for him in 12 months. Right now he appears to want out, so we need to make the play now before it's too late.

Look at what we gave up for Sinn who has played 1 game this year, and JHF is a much brighter prospect than him, if we want something ie Rozee/Sinn we tend to go for it pretty hard.

Their aren't many players on our list that i would say are untouchable right now, as they've all disappointed this year. Besides Marshall has any player improved their game this year? But i think we can build our team around Wines, Butters, Rozee, Marshall, Georgiades, Houston, Allir & Hayes.

JHF is so overrated. Like Luko before him, and Jaeger O’Meara before that. These massively hyped high draft picks tend to turn into solid, better than average players. People saying 2 first rounders aren’t enough are crazy. If you give up more than that for a single player you are screwing yourself over in the long run.
