Transgender - Part 2

Please be aware that the tolerance of anti-trans language on BF is at an all-time low. Jokes and insults that are trans-related, as well as anti-trans and bigoted rhetoric will be met with infractions, threadbans etc as required. It's a sensitive (and important) topic, so behave like well-mannered adults when discussing it, PARTICULARLY when disagreeing. This equally applies across the whole site.

Why is that less than 1% of the population are Trans females but 50% of the starting 10 for the flying bats are Trans?

If it was an even playing field shouldn’t this be proportionate to the regular population?
Does sports participation line up with general population?

Why don’t we see a local football side with 5 trans males?
How would you know if a local footy side had five trans men playing in it?

It would be news for starters.
So you can't find any news of trans men playing soccer?

Or you haven't seen any so assume there is no news of trans men playing soccer?

It would be world news. Every other Trans triumph seems to be well published,
Interesting view of how reality works.
If you've not read about it in the news it's not real

The gender crits are going crazy that two cis women with higher testosterone levels have been allowed to box after meeting the Olympic requirements

There are no trans women competing at the Olympics so we've reached the acccuse your opponent of being one stage of this

What are the Olympic requirements out of interest / do you have a link?

Edit: all good, found them!

This seems like a "what I heard" type thing.

I clearly bow to your superior knowledge. I am not an expert.

Imane Khelif of Algeria (66kg division) and Taiwan's Lin Yu‑ting (57kg) were thrown out by the International Boxing Association that has since lost sanctioning power of the Olympics due to integrity concerns.

The IBA claimed the boxers' chromosome tests came back as XY, which is typically the male chromosome, rather than a female's XX.

Yeah seems like a pretty clear case of the person having a DSD and is biologically male. Shouldn't be competing in the female category.
It's not clear that they are DSD or what the 'gender assessment' they failed and were banned for a year ago was and wouldn't have been eligible for the Olympics.

There have been comments they both failed both high testosterone levels and had XY chromosomes.

The new boxing unit formed to determine eligibility for the Olympics Paris Boxing Unit (PBU) only required the boxers to identify as women and accepted being identified as F(emale) in a passport, acceptable.

Federations that govern rugby, track and field, swimming and cycling have all introduced rules in some form to address biological males in women's sport, though the exact details of policies vary.

And boxing did as well, with the International Boxing Association (IAB) requiring athletes to undergo 'gender assessment'.

Though it doesn't detail the exact nature of these assessments, it is this test that Khelif and Lin failed last year at the IAB's Women's World Boxing Championships in New Delhi.

At the time IBA president, Umar Kremlev, claimed the tests had proven both Khelif and Lin 'had XY chromosomes'.

I meant that (a DSD) was the most likely scenario, and specifically for Khelif.
