Pretty sure he had his exit interview prior to advising the club he was leaving.Agreed. Surprises and disappoints.

That makes 2 of us Sibaspud.I found that interesting as it was mentioned that he was told mid year to stop doing that, but most of his votes were in the first half of the year. It certainly showed that I see things differently to the coaches...which probably explains why I'm not one!
He knows his stuff. I like listening to him.Bucks knows when a bloke has the work rate to become a star.
Buckley respects Robert Harvey for a reason and you can say a lot about Buckley but **** me he put a lot of effort into his game.
I'd really like to know what the coaches tell them...(I've seen other rucks do the grab ball and kick it!). And I'd also like to see all the BnF votes per round per player...just to see who is doing the right thing by the coaches.I'm not a coach either - but I would think if he was having success grabbing it and kicking it forward maybe we should have tried getting our forwards a little more forward and in front of the backs and see how that went rather than telling him to not try getting it forward in the first place ?
I also like it. We've been stepped on for too longLooks as though the club are trying to fully harness an underdog, rage against the machine, if you're not with us you're against us culture. I like it, I think it plays to our history and identity. You run the risk of becoming insufferable w***ers if you don't achieve anything, but better than choir boys who don't achieve anything.
Kicks goals with ease tooHe had a brilliant debut season but I reckon we have barely even scratched the surface of what he is capable of. His combination of both pace and endurance is probably the best in the league, and he also has extremely good footy IQ, very neat skills, strong overhead, good attitude. He really could be absolutely anything.
who flipping cares how he "broke up" with the playing group, was probably nervous AF, like he has to sit down head in hands and apologetically explain his reasonings.. so dramatic. He's moving on, changing it up, the club probs wanted the pick, shit happens, thanks for your time. Playing group needs to grow up if they're this offended about itBroke up over text to the entire playing group after telling them all and Ross he was staying.
Supposedly.
Do I care? No.who flipping cares how he "broke up" with the playing group, was probably nervous AF, like he has to sit down head in hands and apologetically explain his reasonings.. so dramatic. How do the Journos know this as factWho?
so they tell management not to invite him to the party cos you're sad about him leaving? it's petty and childish, leadership should show them how to be adults if they can't do it themselvesDo I care? No.
Could a player/friend care that Josh had told him he was staying and the next morning sends a text saying he is off? Yes.
Doesn’t have to be overly complicated. Your mates can make decisions that upset you.
Again, could be multiple reasons why. Doesnt have to be so deep. He wasn’t invited.so they tell management not to invite him to the party cos you're sad about him leaving? it's petty and childish, leadership should show them how to be adults if they can't do it themselves

he did, his misses sent them a text from the nursery what more do you wantI would've thought telling those close to you for your whole playing career that you are leaving was being grown up.
TB....that was quite an effort going from the Mornington Peninsula up to Crown........enjoying the night and then going all the way back.OK - as a beneficiary of one of the tickets to the B&F from the player sponsorship I had a fairly hectic day. I finished up an on-line meeting with my UK office, then pretty much had to immediately get changed and make the trek up from the Mornington Peninsula to Crown. I love the venue, and there was a lot less protestors than the last time I was there!
My only gripe (as someone that had to drive there) was minor, but it was that there was no light beer option available in the drinks in the foyer area outside the ballroom. I'm no fan of light beer, but in this day and age responsible alcohol consumption if you are driving is mandatory, and venues/event managers must consider this.
I thought Marshall was a good average blue collar ruckman for the first half of the season. He did start clunking them as the season wore in and he gets to good spots. He’s never been a stoppage-dominator.This points to why Marshall didn't do as well as many here expected. I imagine his tactic of grabbing the ball out of the ruck and hacking it forward wasn't an instruction from the coaches and they were frustrated about it like a lot of supporters were too.
He did have a very good season but I feel like his main role in actually rucking could've been better.
It's clear there has been something that has led to the souring of relations between the two parties.so they tell management not to invite him to the party cos you're sad about him leaving? it's petty and childish, leadership should show them how to be adults if they can't do it themselves
Very kind of you Saint Watto! But to be fair, given the amount of travel I rack up for work, a jaunt up and down to the casino is easy. I am up and down to Tullamarine on average every other week, and often do 2 to 3 weeks overseas at a time. I was fortunate enough to be on the USA east coast when we played the Bulldogs, so missed that debacle entirely!!TB....that was quite an effort going from the Mornington Peninsula up to Crown........enjoying the night and then going all the way back.
I salute you !!!!!
Great post btw.
