Stick it up your arse Christian says the Tribunal.

RICHMOND spearhead Tom Lynch's striking charge has been thrown out and he is free to play West Coast on Thursday night.

The AFL Tribunal determined on Monday night that his alleged striking charge on Michael Hurley was of a negligible nature and didn't constitute a reportable offence.

That Dollhouse one was a classic arm pinned, sling tackle, but somehow rated the equivalent of SPP's. Tim Kelly's has been rated as low impact, so only a fine, and I would say is much more similar to SPP's:

Kelly's tackle was FAR worse than SPP's - pinned Kennedy's arms and drove him into the turf.

Low impact, tho

Riewoldt getting called out on the SPP one during the half time break.

Kelly's one is clearly worse than SPP's, but Eddie and Dermie instantly defended it so he gets the lower potential injury judgement.

Looking at the vision from the standard broadcast angle, SPP is moving at speed at a stationary McEvoy.

He wraps his arms around McEvoy As their heads kind of touch, could be a shoulder to SPP, as he stands upright Mano e Mano with McEvoy.

SPP then has to hang on tight for the tackle to stick as his momentum carries him around McEvoy who as a big guy tries to stand his ground and release a handpass as his arms are clear. Not pinned incidentally.

Once SPPs body starts to pivot around McEvoy, he starts to fall and rather than letting the tackle go, which would be so against instinct of most players let alone an SPP type that plays with intensity, he hangs on for dear life, and happens to be in a position where McEvoy is going to lose his balance backwards and McEvoy hold his arms free with the ball and is still attempting to get a handball away.

Big boy falls and SPP has let go once he realises the guy is going all the way down. With his right arm around McEvoys middle and appears to be releasing before the ground impact, (possibly daylight visible as the new measure now is for snicko and goal posts) Broadcast angle I think shows little in terms of head hitting ground.

SPP gets up immediately and is involved in two more tackles/attempts/contests. McEvoy gets up and with trainers alongside sets up for the boundary throw in.

Note that not one unsociable Hawks player approaches SPP.....an indication they saw nothing in it or they are scared of the big bullocking bald bloke that happens to be darker skinned than most on the field.

If SPP releases the tackle as his momentum takes him past, it is a poor tackle / broken tackle and therefore a failure. SPP didn’t want to fail....that is instinct.

TL:DR he deserves an apology but instead will get a week off
