Nearly got sacked many years ago when my mates mum passed away... I said it was my aunty (she was like a 2nd mum to me) and ended up getting dragged in the office and got roasted.... No idea how they worked out it wasn't my aunty ECT... Maybe they took a guess? But **** them I wasn't gonna miss it.

Spoke to a lawyer.

My boss then denied it ever happened and since there were no witnesses the lawyer told me it would be my word against his if I took it further.

**** that.

The same company screwed over a bunch of other workers around the same time.

A few months later they handed out redundancy payouts to the 1/8th of a workforce they had left (after making up reasons to sack people for the previous few months).

There was some good people who gave a fair chunk of their life to that shithole who got massively screwed.
