Shoes are one thing that I don't mind paying top dollar for. Having a job where I'm on my feet all day plus suffering from plantar faciitis quite regularly I need good shoes.

When I was on the tools I finally got some Bluesteel boots, 250 bucks but they were awesome, way more comfy than Blundstones.

I walk 20km a day for work and I wear Blundies. Pretty comfortable but happy to go with other recommendations , especially as the company pays for them .

I was in the psych ward for a bit and was learning to enjoy my cup of instant coffee every morning until I quite liked it . After a few days one of my fellow inmates (or ‘consumers’ as the health board called us) told me it was decaffeinated . Real coffe might have stirred up us up too much.

If you wanted real instant you had to buy your own , put it the nurses station and get them to dole out a few cups every morning.

It’s funny how the mind works, the decaf was giving me a false kick in the morning . Like when a heroin addict gets a rush just at seeing a teaspoon.

I was doing rehab once and a girl on the course couldn’t look at rock salt because it reminded her of meth crystals .

What do you do for a crust?

Doing some math, 20km a day at an average walking speed of 5km/h means that to me you're spending 4 hours of your work day walking, leaving only 4 hours for "actual work". That seems inefficient in the modern, capitalistic world? Unless of course you do "actual work" whilst walking?

I read meters . Water meters .

Some days I do 25km, sometimes I’m in the vehicle driving around.

Solitude.

My partner went home for Easter (he's from ACT) so I've been spending my time watching movies, listening to my soul/blues LPs at high volume, enjoying some extra drinks (red and vodka), cooking and eating whatever I please whenever I want and not just because "it's lunch/dinner time."

It's been eight years and we are still loved-up but I can't remember the last time I enjoyed my own time/company like I am right now.

What time should I come over?

I think some underrate homemade gravy. Shits me that my wife will do a packet Gravox gravy when I've got the homemade stuff sitting there, it's so dumb.
Maybe she is weird like me and dosen't like chunky floaty bits in gravy? I prefer Gravox as well because it is smooth.
Maybe a a heart to heart with your wife concerning the gravy is required ?
Maybe your home made gravy is smooth though! In which case this point is moot and best move on with your day.

I strain my gravy so it's pretty smooth, I use things to add "flavour" which I don't think she likes. Either way more gravy for me!
