Might be an unpopular opinion but I have never particularly warmed to Kamala Harris. She reminds me in many ways of Hillary. Smart and savvy but inauthentic.

Her fist-pumping of Lindsay Graham, a Trump acolyte doing everything possible to undermine the election (including possible ACTUAL voter fraud), is really poor optics. It just reinforces people's well-founded cyncism of Washington and both parties as corrupt as each other.

Of course, in reality Republicans are much more corrupt and blatantly anti-democratic - but anyone watching that footage could rightfully come to the conclusion that Democrats aren't particularly concerned with behaviour of Republicans. It was a jarring reminder of how hopeless and out of touch Democrat establishment figures are.

Or on the other hand you could say that the divide is what is destroying the country, and both sides of politics need to put their differences aside and start to work together far more often than they have in the past 12 years. There is always the public version and the behind closed doors version of what is taking place in Politics, particularly in the US. All of the GOP Senators know Trump is cooked, but they are indulging him because he has so much power over their electorate and no one wants to be the one who upsets the fallen unhinged King. Biden certainly understands what it means to work across the aisle, and i expect that a big focus for the Biden/Harris Admin will be to improve those relationship in both the Senate and the House and work more collaboratory so that it becomes easier to actually achieve anything.

It seems to be, but you’re not alone.

Kamala will bend whichever way suits Kamala best at the time.
Kamala is a savvy career politician but fails to connect with the public (the primaries showed this). Notwithstanding, she is more likely to be the next POTUS via a handover process - maybe she grows into the role. For a position that is basically a popularity contest, that will be interesting.

She’s not a career politician. She’s only been a politician the last few years. She’s definitely savvy to politics in its various forms. Would not trust her to hold my keys.

If she did take the reigns in a handover, I’d be sure republicans would be back in power in 2024. Dems need Biden to make it through his 4 years and then let the primaries unveil a new candidate.

She didn't need to be in the senate or the house to be a career politician though but yeah.

you could probably make the argument it wasn't about race specifically and more about simply obeying orders from higher ups - I'm just not sure that's any better, considering their job :drunk:
It’s likely not white-hooded racism, but definitely institutional racism.

Why do you think this? I think her popularity numbers are fairly high at the moment. She may not swing many Republicans over but a lot will depend how she comes across as VP.

Actually my read of balls prior response was initially support for the 2 gop but after I raised that the gop allowed areas of higher vote irregularities through (white areas incidentally which probably voted gop) he agreed that it was just voter manipulation and suppression (the second quote you picked)

I'd made the same point to him prior to that, and his response to me focused entirely on the racial angle. I didn't bring it up.

I think it's a ploy to avoid talking about the actions of the 2 GOP board members, which are pretty clearly corrupt imo. FK did the same thing.

Watch him ignore the post you've quoted here which was addressed to him.

Thats fine but you need to call out the abhorent behaviour or it will continue

Football analogy: You can let Stephenson hog the ball to be 1st goalscorer - you let that slide but you dont allow match fixing which Lindsey Graham was involved in

Of who Harris would be the leading candidate

VP gives her front runner and campaign money off the bat - unless she is as dumb as Dan Quayle

So, she is no good because?

Somehow I just don't think Team Trump is taking these lawsuits seriously anymore.
Or maybe it's just how "Special" lawyer Rudy and "Luscious Lips" Jenna work.
You media morons are all laughing at @RudyGiuliani, but he appears to have already established a great rapport with the judge, who is currently offering recommendations on martini bars for Team Trump in open court.

Nah, a woman, hell no....even an obedient pretty one.
They will choose a 40 ish white male next time.
Obedient pretty one works by
1) will potentially pull some left wing progressive “because female”
2) harder for democrats to attack female (lest it be seen as bullying/ sexist)
3) appeals to trump base who aren’t the typical republicans
4) appeals to typical republicans as someone who will follow the Republican Party line

Nah, if you listen to Trumpettes they think a woman should never be a leader, because of you no, that time of the month. No way.
Check the Young Turks interviews with the masses, it makes you understand how this base think and how he hones in and played them to get where he is.
Sad but true.
