Republicans are finally showing their hand after playing the long game for so long.

Scream about a rigged election and fraudulent votes, then continue to do this for a year and now they are 'finding' mysterious memory sticks that just happen to lean heavily trump's way. Next step is the we told you.

GOP playing Chess while the Dems are playing checkers ;)

Kamala is a savvy career politician but fails to connect with the public (the primaries showed this). Notwithstanding, she is more likely to be the next POTUS via a handover process - maybe she grows into the role. For a position that is basically a popularity contest, that will be interesting.
I think when you're the first of anything be it woman, or person of colour or LGBTQI person to occupy a role you always have to work twice as hard to get there because there will always be a small but significant percentage of the population that aren't going to accept you regardless.

Somehow I just don't think Team Trump is taking these lawsuits seriously anymore.
Or maybe it's just how "Special" lawyer Rudy and "Luscious Lips" Jenna work.

Aaaahahaha. Just read through all of the live-tweets covering Rudy's first day in federal court in 28 years, champagne comedy.

In any case, Judge Brann’s questions did not give the impression that he was sympathetic to Mr Giuliani’s argument.

“You’re asking this court to invalidate more than 6.8 million votes (i.e. every vote in Pennsylvania), thereby disenfranchising every single voter in the commonwealth. Can you tell me how this result can possibly be justified?” he asked.

Mr Giuliani replied that the conduct of election officials was “egregious”, and that’s why a remedy as “draconian” as stopping the entire state from certifying its results was necessary.

Another of the opposing lawyers, Mark Aronchick, was incensed.

“The idea that you’re being asked to do that – I don’t use this word very much. It is disgraceful,” he told the judge.
...
“At one point the judge was asking kind of a basic election question, which was, ‘Do I judge this under strict scrutiny or rational basis?’ Which is kind of a Law 101 question, and Rudy Giuliani didn’t seem to know what those terms meant,” he said.

5) Appeals to those men who have fantasies about strong women stepping all over them with heels

yeah I was thinking something a bit worse which would likely see me threadbanned which is why I stayed away from stating it

Ayyo ShanDog, this thread is over 1100 pages, time to roll her on over and unban all my homies? 😬
Yeah I can make one for President Biden and VP Harris

But I see there is one for 46th President started by NSWCROW

But I think mods want to keep election chatter on one thread

He doesn't know basic staff that a paralegal would know.

Because of he's rant continually changed, he wanted to amend for a second complaint. Before that he has to file "a motion to leave" which the judge asked him if he had, but he had not. Yet he kept asking he wanted to file the amendment.

That's hilarious.

As named after noted socialist Yogi Bear. Thinks he can just get around helping himself to picnic baskets that other people earned...
would have thought that would appeal to individualism and self reliance

I'm more interested in your take on the actions of the 2 GOP board members, in light of being called out for the lickspittles they are and the tweet gushing over Trump rallies. Can we agree their actions are likely more corrupt than pretty much everyone the GOP has accused of fraud so far?
Ok so the two "lickspittles" cited voter irregularities and refused to certify the vote. In other words they did their job. This was reversed an hour or so later with a concession to audit the dodgy votes (fair enough), but not before this extraordinary zoom call was leaked to the world where they were named (and their faces identified) and had that angry fool publicly declaring them racists. Ordinary business.

This is the closest to Civil War I've seen the US in my lifetime and it's all because of Trump. I can absolutely guarantee people wouldn't be at each others throats like this if this election was Biden v Romney.

This hasn't been a Democrat v Republican election, it's a Trump v anti-Trump election.

I seriously cannot understand how people support him.

the first clip holy shit that is horrible. I thought the police would be expected to do more - perhaps pepper spray in that situation would have helped

the second clip i see that the anti proud boy side choose to charge in using flagpoles and the aforementioned crutches to try to hit the proud boys, not sure that action is helpful (yes pepper spray was not warranted there)

why did they not do their job in the other county with the higher rate of irregularities then

The voter irregularities that we're yet to see proof for/proven false? Yep, "just doing their job".

I dunno. My point was that the leaked zoom call and unfounded accusation of racism is getting into coercion territory. Doesn't sit right

They are auditing the votes again.

i wouldn't say leaking the zoom call is coercion. It is a bad look that they did not refuse to certify the (presumably) republican voting county with higher irregularities. I think there is justifiable case of vote manipulation on partisan lines there and the workers deserve to be pilloried (and yet another example of the need for an independent electoral commission - this would also give voter id, properly maintained electoral rolls so the actually dead are removed but people aren't scrubbed for not voting, and impartial scrutineers and processes that both sides could trust)

As I said before I agree that using accusation of racism is counter productive

Un-educated white people who believe that they are being left behind because someone who looks different to them are getting jobs. Who are scared of change. Who have been told that since the Nazi's had the world "socialist" in the party name means health care is the devil

They hate "the establishment" of politics. So when Trump came in, yelling, screaming and acting like a petulant child instead of how normal politicans act, they got caught up in the hype too much to realise he is the establishment. He is the rich guy who doesn't care about the lower class and only cares about his bottom line and ego
