Good mornin' y'all!

After five hours of sleep interrupted at 8am by a friend ringing to congratulate me(grrr...) I've made it. Computer is on and I'm fired up and ready to go!

No, Joe. Thank you for bringing a sense of relief to a desperate nation and world.

Yeah. Lefties are emotionally unstable when things don't go their way. I'm generalising of course - if the cap fits, wear it.
Did you just wake up from a coma? The righties have certainly proven themselves to be emotionally stable the last few days...

identity Rian sh*t won't wash anymore Gough, what will happen when institutions and Security State operatives are not there to sow division, can we please have back our social tolerant and cohesive society

or am I just here to play the heel and be a proxy for Trump? I am gonna be out of this pile-on chief
Actively trying to deny LGBTIQ rights is not playing identity politics? Accusations of playing identity politics only ever seems to apply to people looking for equal rights, never those looking to deny them.

1) In respect to number 2, questions should be asked as to why 70 million felt the need to vote for a conman like Trump. It's easy to be dismissive of Trump if you completely ignore his appeal in the US.
2) A problem has been highlighted and it shouldn't be brushed over.
3) How does the US ensure another 'Trump' doesn't happen?
Good points. :thumbsu:
1) Someone posted several maps showing the breakdown of voting demographics. Trump supporters are mostly white, non-college-educated and my guess is reactionary/unhappy about how the world has changed since the 60's/70's. They fear change, unless it's change-back. That 70 million is a fearsome number. Until Trump, I would not have imagined a number so high.
2) Agree totally.
3) Since Trump's Election (about which I was incredulous at the time) I've been worried/fearful, even anxious about how things were going, almost on a weekly basis as he got worse and worse. Trump's supporter base is unnerving, for sure, and not receptive to reason, logic, or wanting to respect opposing points of view. Botttom line: how?
I don't know. Any ideas?

we only look to margins, HRC had more in aggregate she as Democrat candidate required a mere few more in battleground states
If the DNC had allowed Sanders the cudgel he would have been POTUS the last four years, HRC polarised a lot of voters, even those who signed the ballot F.O.R her
I'm not convinced of that. The fear of 'socialism' would have been too strong and used by the right to hammer away at Bernie. This is the only developed nation that has been unable to give it's citizen a system of universal health coverage, in a large part because it's portrayed negatively as 'socialist'. Cut to stories of granny killed by democratic death squads etc.

Which is why Nixon had to resign then have Ford pardon him-. Donalds problem is he has 73 days left to resign and have Pence pardon him - if he believes he is guilty of anything
I am not Curtis

Unfortunately, we all know that it’s unlikely he will show that.

He’s just not a good leader. Regardless of what political alignment we have, if we look at his characteristics, then we know that he’s missing too much.
He’s:
- arrogant
- narcissistic
- inflammatory when he should be the person that brings order
- childish and throws tantrums
and the list goes on beyond this.

Hopefully the US will not bring in someone like him again, but the fact that almost 70 million people voted for him this time around does not give me a lot of confidence.
I can see Donald Trump jnr throwing his hat in the ring at some point

Pour one out for the Appalachian males. 🥃

my point is e.v.e.r.y.o.n.e is in this adventure together*

The asterisk is recognition I say this full well understanding/knowing Trump himself played the division strategy, he did it to begin, it was Andrew Breitbart and Stephen K Bannon playbook, and my post^ above talked about socially cohesive society, so not a contradiction nor hypocrisy, This was Trump's hand, and it was used against him to bite him, he lost!

No, because I'm a person with an opinion. You have an opinion that Van Jones' reaction is moving, and that's okay. I have an opinion that Van Jones' reaction is cringe-worthy and unprofessional. That's also okay. If you say it's tough **** for me, that's fine, but it's also tough **** for you too.
People are probably posting about your opinion because your opinion is crap
Just a thought
