Haven't seen Garlett play. Is he an outside mid fielder or crumbing forward? I'm thinking that we need to fix up our delivery to our forwards first.

While I'm not convinced that Hale is our FF, we need good forward structure and delivery if we have a smaller leading FF e.g Edwards, Jones or Wundke.

He is more of an outside midfielder but he can win his own ball.

Can play crumbing forward role but can also take a very good mark.

What he said.

Hes much more a midfielder than a crumbing forward.

However, his workrate is very good, LT could be under some pressure now.

As realistically, Garlett and Anthony could play that role accross half forward.

Updates on Anthony, Wundke, Garlett, Smith, Jones?

I think it's time to give Wundke a crack, see what he's capable of.

Anthony played well i thought, could be able to step straight into the seniors but he just come back from injury so may need another vfl game for match fitness, then hell come in surely.
Wundke was good bagged 5 he's first quarter was great then faded a bit could be near senior selection.
Garlett played really well through the midfield and in the last quarter was put down back, he should get the elevation IMO.
Smith provide a target up foward and kicked 2 but wasnt hes best game.
Jones was quiet compared to recent weeks IMO

Wundke and Garlett were the best from the roo boys.

Well, with Warren not likely to play I'd say we have no other choice really.
You may very well be right Nick, however when Edwards was dropped, Jones did not come in, and when Ziebell missed, Edwards who wasn't even an emergency when the team was listed on Thursday night came in for Jack.

It was wet and muddy, and the second half was played mainly in a driving rain. It took some of the skill out of the game.

Liam Anthony played reasonably well. His defensive game was better today, but I think the conditions blunted his attack a bit. Could be up for AFL selection.

Cruize must be a moxie for elevation to the senior list. Not his best game, but he worked hard. It was difficult for the midfielders today, and the dour types tended to do well.

Corey Jones worked hard and chased all day. Did the little things, but wasn't a ball winner.

Shannon Watt played very well. He sheparded on more than one occasion springing a team mate for a goal. He also spoiled well and ran well.

Josh Smith got a corked thigh, but refused to go off early. fought on, kept presenting and took at least three excellent sliding marks. Was the only threat to score from outside 50, but only was able to get a return of 2.3

Michael Wundke took some great contested marks today! He played his best game of the year. He kicked 5.4, and was dominant in the forward line. Coburg had no answer for him today.

Marcus White played well against a quick opponent. He got in and got dirty. Tackled better than some recent games, and he is good with the ball when he gets it in any space.

It was great to see a domiant first half, and when challenged, (Coburg got with-in 33 after being down nearly 60), North ballarat pulled back away to win it by 50!

I loved Gerrard Fitzgerald's 'non-negotiables', and pointing out several individual efforts that created goals. Excellent coaching! I guess that's why he gets his teams deep into the finals so regularly!!

Thanks for the report JSchwag.:thumbsu:
