A goal down at quarter time.
We kicked with the wind (probably only a 1 goal advantage) to the Wade Stand end.

We had a lot of the play but couldn't take a mark inside 50.

Vardy and Cowan are playing, however I haven't seen Christensen at all.

Is that a result of poor delivery EY, or have the forwards been outplayed?

just got here.down by one goal.drum is on the bench with a massive icepack on his leg and tracksuit on.didnt see what happened.shattered for him.

Unbelievable. This guy's a walking disaster zone.

Let's hope it's not too serious and he gets another opportunity to display his wares next week..

We're winning our share of footy but our structure and skills going forward are poor, meaning the forwards are often out of position.

Benny Johnson has done well from limited opportunities, Mitch Brown is presenting but not getting his hands on the footy whilst Nathan Vardy hasn't really been seen apart from some nice tap work in the middle.

North Ballarat are getting far too much space in their forward line.

drum has taken the icepack off the right lg but is done for the day.trainer is consoling him and he seems to be in good spirits considering.48 to 21 at ht. joel boris scarlo and smithy have just arrived to take a walk around.

Cheers for that :thumbsu:

The performance of our 2nds has caught me by surprise this year. I thought had a good, quality side this year, but by all accounts their skills are lacking and they aren't playing with much system or cohesion.

Half time, 3.3 to 7.6. We are putting on good pressure but they are still able to find the free man and are running forward of the ball with ease. We have struggled to win any clean possession after a clearance causing us to just rush it forward, and when we have had time the disposal has been pretty bad.

Getting a bit outclassed atm.

joffas energy has been great and he kicks lovely for a great brown goal.gillies outmarked by edwards who kicks one.another goal to edwards 60 to 28.edwards marks against mclean now hes killing us

joffa has been our best all day brown had a great last few min.cowan motlop firmo raids benny j also good.cant fault our endeavour but we are butchering the ball and getting hurt coz the defence isnt getting numbers back to support. 42 to 75 3qtr time.

3 quarter time, 6.6 to 11.9. Got a beating this quarter, brown kicked a couple, with one set shot from outside 50. Beautiful kick, very relaxed and made the journey nicely. Would be interesting to see if he could do that in the seniors with more pressure on. Johnson gave away a stupid 50 meter penalty with very late contact after a mark. Cleaned him up. If he wants to play seniors he can't do that.

I just read on VFL twitter that Aaron Edwards has kicked 9 goals. trouble is he plays for the opposition.

NB: 83 Geel: 43

update : 10 to Edwards. so much for a developing backline.
