Not at all, I wont hesitate to say that I called it for what it was along with the others.
People in the thread called it for what it was.
The story here is the Vic club supporters who outwardly professed to be barracking for Port until the Vic side was kick started by the Vic umpires and it was called out, suddenly it was about our league etc. etc.
The mask came off and the parochial Vic came through at the thought of people calling out their league.

I can tell you what happened without even being there.

The way you carry on in here, you sound like a loudmouthed know it all and could never be wrong.

The umpire decisions you didn't like so you started screaming F%^$& Victorian cheats,you were confronted like most loudmouthed do in a pub when people are drinking, you shit your pants and ran for it, now you are embarrassed and are trying to big name yourself to save face in your eyes.

They will have been Victorians barracking for Port and then been triggered because a Port fan started going on an anti-Vic rant over a couple of dodgy frees. They probably neither liked the frees, nor your anti vic stuff.

I'm not saying it's not said, it is, what I am disputing is someone saying that because of umpiring, never heard it before and I call BS.

This Penfold nuffy, never shuts up about umpires, every game day thread, every time he comes into this thread, all he does is cry about umpiring, so if he was at this pub and there was a dispute with some other people, I would say he was loud mouthing and was told to shut it.

You won't hear any arguments from me over the preference for a proper home and away fixture where everyone plays each other twice, home and away.

Preferably with the stipulation teams play every side once before doubling up too. None of this bullshit getting the same team twice in five weeks - which can really skew outcomes if a side is going through a rough trot with injury.

For about 10 minutes after I told him 'his league' would be broke without expansion and inparticular WC's money.
His missus said I shouldnt have said that.
I said I dont see what his problem is, Im sitting here having a laugh and he cracked the shits.
Thats when his missus told him not to respond because its 'where you drink' and off they went.

There was no animosity or screaming or any other hyperbole, a few people said the umpires have kicked in and he lost his shit.

He didn't just say "you joined our league" in response to you complaining about frees. He said it in response to you ranting about cheating Vics, vicbias, blah blah blah. Don't leave that bit out, you've already admitted it and it's crucial to the story.

The sad thing is that I think it's basically true. He's ranted at a pub about vics being a bunch of cheats and then been shocked when they've responded as he can't believe that someone would question the truth of his rants or that a couple of contentious frees is definitive proof.

If you want to know how the umpiring actually came up, my future Son inlaw, a Crows supporter sent me a text 'free kick Port Adelaide' with some BT wow wee's for humour, I read the text aloud to my Wife and laughed before responding with 'cry harder'.
No sooner had that happened the Hawks got the run of 3 frees that resulted in goals and I returned serve to the text with some 'free kick Hawthorn' and was laughing whilst relaying it to my Wife.

Thats when old mate, whom I hadnt even taken any notice of after our earlier exchange about who they hoped would win, lost his shit.
It wasnt directed at him or in angst, which is why when his missus cut in I said whats his problem, im having a laugh and he's as red as a beetroot, lol.

Your story was in fact trying to lump all Victorians into the same basket, you don't believe Vics would barrack for non-Vic sides against a Vic side.
