Hey guys, i was just wondering if any cat's fans in WA have some suggestions on getting into Geelong games at Subiaco. Do you guys have interstate memberships that give you easier access to get seats? or can i just get my normal concession membership?

I hear it's pretty tough to get a seat at subi (much like at KP) but i am going to be living in Perth next year and NEED to get my cat's fix on ANZAC day or the Cats v Eagles game later in the year

Any info would be appreciated :D

GOOD LUCK!!!!

I spent some time over there in 04 I only went to 1 game (Freo v Cats). I didnt have a membership at that time but found I could buy a ticket at the gate, which i did an hour before the bounce.

It looks like it could be a bit harder to get tickets these days though. I have found over there, it is hard to have an intelligent conversation about footy, as all they know about is West Coast and freo.

Ill give you one peice of advice....know that sandgropers are the most balanced people in the country. they have chips on both shoulders

EASY TURBO.. taking that logic if i travelled to victoria and bumped into a couple of hawk supporters i would conclude that all victorians were inbred f**wits. Dont go bagging a place cause you met a few people you dont like.

I have this argument every year with the club - whats the point of being an interstate member if all you get for it is the club magazine. The interstate membership should at least get you into the ground when you team visits. Apparently the AFL wont allow it - but they ring everyyear - i complain - and then buy a worthless membership that gets me a crappy magazine every month and then pay for ticket (freo games) or beg one of my weagle mates misses for her ticket when geelong come to town - lucky most weagles are fair weather supporters so i generally get their tickets.

My membership gets me in to all games at Subi for about $15, but i need to buy them about 2 months in sdvance. Cats coming to Perth twice this year for the first time in my adult life.

Got in a great fight at the Freo game this year, the other bloke got arrested......piss funny.

I get the Premium Interstate membership, at least you feel like you're getting something, albeit a $120 bottle opener ;)

When you get over here get in contact with Gerry at www.perthcats.org - they organise viewings of interstate games at a local pub and they have a function when the Cats are in town and have an allocation of tickets.

Thanks heaps!! sounds great i might just get my usual membership then keep my eyes peeled for when the tickets go on sale. Will definitely be checking out the Perthcats woohoo! :D

cheersss

Have travelled over several times to watch the Catters play in Perth. I know from talking to the Perth Cats your membership does not get you in. If you join the Perth Cats Gerry Long (G Long) thats right is the President of the group. He usually lets all members know via Perth Cats web site on what the deal is. Most times the Perth Cats sit behind the cheer squad in the grandstand. Also there meal deal for lunch or breakfast is worth the trip. From memory think they now lunch at the Hyde Hotel but I am sure their web site will tell you all you need to know.
Have got many friends in the Perth Cats they are a great bunch, even had one stay with us for the Grand Final.
So I recommend you contact Mr Long and sign up now.

If you keep in contact with the Perth Cats you will always get a ticket to a Geelong game in the West.
The functions are usually pretty good in particular the after match functions if we win.
I was a committee member for about four years so i know all the past and present crew.

Usual cost is about $75 which gets you a feed and a small panel of guests at the hotel. Bus ride to and from the game. Entry into the game and after match function to meet players.

They are showing the replay of the Grand Final at the Hyde Park Hotel in North Perth this Sunday the 4th at 12noon if anyone is interested.
