I think Elijah Stockden will be a shoe in for EF colts F&B.....son of ex EF premiership player Marshall Stockden..

Some EF boys to look out for in 2025 - Ramsay, Wilson, Carrello, Summerhill, Boniwell, Ormerod, Evans, Cornelius, Ronan and McManus as per Futbolista's 2025 listings

Stockden is an overager, Pauline would have been a more worthy F&B but I see moved to Ressies for the past 5 games.

Don't forget Joshua Nomlatyu as a potential star for East Fremantle colts and WA next season. Hopefully he can spend 20 minutes per quarter up forward and just a quick burst here and there in the ruck.

TBH I am surprised Stockden didn't get elevated as well to the reserves, when Pauline and Noah Dean did. Both Pauline and Dean have acquitted themselves well of late in the reserves, and both will be playing finals footy with EF reserves side.

WAFL Colts Round 21 Games of the week

Perth v Swan Districts at Sat, Aug 24, 9.15am WA/11.15am Vic, Steel Blue, Bassendean Oval https://streamer.com.au/match/4010

I've chosen two matches this week because it's a very good round. With all PSA and state footy done, both sides are fielding strong sides although Swans look to have Zaid Buckland, Finn Taylor, Colby McDonald, Evan Smith, Jai DeBono and Jessie Hollins missing for whatever reason - most likely injury.

Perth look good with a plethora of PSA players available although Preston Cherry-Bayles and Jadd Hill are not named.

Considering those injuries to SD, Perth might go in favourites. Their forward line will be exciting to watch with leading goal kicker Robert Warrell, WA 18's below age rep Koby Evans, Allies 18's rep Taj Stanley, emerging tall forward Cooper Clark and the dangerous Ali Al Shuweli. Moreover the Black Ducks defence is severly weakened without stalwarts Buckland, Taylor and DeBono.

Swan Districts have an immensely powerful midfield with Luke Cotellessa, Otis Harvey, Lucas Andrews, Chayse Martinson, Blake Kelly, Max York and Leo Steed but who will they supply the ball to up forward? 2008 DOB Cooper Dudfield will make his debut and is named at full forward. Apparently despite being just 15, he is already 195cm. The Black and Whites do have some electrifying small indigenous forwards in Anthony Hansen, Tylah Williams and Leon Kickett and maybe they will be the goal scorers? Otis Harvey and Chayse Martinson usually get on the end of a few as well.

The second match with team lists will be uploaded shortly.

WAFL Colts Round 21 Games of the week

Match 2

Subiaco v Claremont at East Fremantle Oval, Sat Aug 24, 11.30am WA/1.30pm Vic https://streamer.com.au/match/4009

Colts super round in front of the interstate scouts/recruiters and the venue chosen is the newly revamped East Fremantle Oval. These will be the first matches played at the venue and it will be interesting to see what the facilities look like. Hopefully it doesn't turn into a VFL Park/Claremont Oval apartment hub. I've got nothing against that but one in WA is enough. Hopefully the Shark Pit still is up and running with their lovely egg and bacon burgers, fair beer prices and feisty supporters who don't mind telling anybody the many many flags they've won (or used to)

Nobody wants to play Claremont at this time of year with all of their PSA players back. Subi picked the short straw this weekend and to make matters worse they have Malakai Champion (league), Travis Shearer (league), Finley Henderson (?), Regan Mott (reserves), Aven Drewett (injured) and Nic Multari (injured) who are unavailable.

Without Henderson, Subi's Darcy Montgomery needs to step up and show why he is a highly rated goal scorer on bigfooty.

In fairness, Claremont have been pushing up some over agers in the second half of the season, so I expect Bailey.Banfield, Sullivan Moody to be playing (reserves) and Hamish Davis (league). Hugh Boxshall isn't named - so not sure if he copped an injury in PSA and William Hayes is out for the season.

Having said that the Monts welcome back notable stars Jett Sibosado (reserves), Charlie Banfield (PSA), Clancy Dennis (PSA), Max Hansen-Knarhoi (PSA), Cody Curtin (PSA) and a number of other PSA stars - who may yet be colts stars.

If the line-ups are correct, I'm particularly interested in seeing Wesley Walley Jnr starting in the middle plus the duel between a star of now - Claremont power forward Lucas Ravenhill v a star of next year in below age key defender Jimmy Aylmore (S).

Incredibly, another Banfield is coming through the ranks and 15 year old Harper Banfield will make his debut. Will he be better than Bailey and Charlie? He must be exceptional for Claremont to select him at the business end of the season.

I'm sure most will agree, it looks a bridge too far for Subiaco but one never knows.

This weather is abysmal. It's rained everyday for what feels like weeks and the wind is gale force.

Not ideal for colts super round. I hope they have some decent shelter at the new East Fremantle Oval for the brave souls who will watch live in person.

Another excellent video from noobermensch and his youtube channel. Which when you click...you'll see a whole bunch of player match day profiles....mainly Vics but we don't hold that against him. In this player in focus video Hamish Davis of the monts shows that with his size and agility he is already at home playing against big blokes at league level.

Once again a big thanks to noobermensch for putting this Kayle Gerreyn player in focus league video from a sodden Fremantle Oval. He did ok against seasoned Bulldog players.....maybe even surprised me a bit with his vigour. If he does get drafted, I don't think his AFL club will have to wait too long before they judge he is ready to debut. For now, it's back to colts where he has a big job to do for West Perth. Any day now, as is the tradition in Perth, the weather will brighten up. It couldn't come soon enough.

I do think he will take a few years to play at AFL level, there is a massive jump up for the taller players.

Fair enough mate and you could be right. But he doesn't look raw and uncoordinated like many other big blokes who get drafted.

But for sure, big guys usually take time to find that compactness, craft, coordination.

WAFL Colts Elimination Final, Sat, Aug 31, 9.10am WA/11.10am Vic, Lane Group Stadium, Rushton Park https://streamer.com.au/match/4088

Finals time and we are hoping for the Spring weather. Although, to be fair we are a day from September but geez, does the weather change fast in these parts.

It would appear as though the Black Ducks played ducks and drakes with Perth last week in the final game of the season. Suddenly Harrison Creighton, Evan Smith, Zaid Buckland, Jai Debono, Adam Sandrini, Cody Ryan, Colby McDonald and Finn Taylor are all right to play this week. It's now a very experienced side and a strong one.

Perth on the other hand have not made any notable inclusions and below ager Jadd Hill and PSA mid Preston Cherry-Bayles have not been named due to injury.

It's odd when one looks at the Swan Districts side. So many WA state 16's stars - some of them AA - they are still top class colts plyers but they fell off the radar. Maybe they can prove a point against Perth.

Perth have their steady mids - the prolific Cooper Moore, captain Mitchell Keene and Sometimes mid sometimes half back Brody McLean.

But really, it's the below agers that stand out. Twelve are named including state 18's player Koby Evans, late bolter Cooper Clark, gutsy mid sized defender Dale sutherland, impressive wingman/forward Baxter Gray and linkman Nate Tomasini.

Swans have their incredible mids - Otis Harvey, Luke Cotellessa, Chayse Martinson, Lucas Andrews, Blake Kelly, Leo Steed, Max York and if need be Creighton, who we mentioned earlier and has been playing reserves.

I always look forward to watching Perth's mercurial forward line. Robert Warrell, Evans, tall forward Clark, who has come out of nowhere, Allies rep Taj Stanley and the no nonsense Nathan Cameron, who isn't the most stylish forward but will run through a brick wall for his side.

Players on the potential draft list for 2024. Evan Smith+ (SD), Luke Cotellesa (SD), Robert Warrell (P), Loch McTaggart (P), Taj Stanley (P/Allies)

Every time I see the Swans line up, I'm always impressed by the talent but for some reason they can't seem to get the job done. I'm expecting a similar result to last week but looking forward to it. Certainly hoping for improved weather conditions!

I think Swans will win this week. Their side is much stronger than last week.

You might just be on the money mate. Perth too good so far.

Cracking game.

Stream acceptable.

Commentary top notch.

Enjoyable and a few dust ups as well.

Weather - windy and cold but only a few sprinkles of rain by half time.

Cracking game. One of the best of the season.

Big thanks to Jase Gabriel, who called the game to perfection. Outstanding player ID and made an ordinary stream seem worthwhile.

Swan Districts win by 2 points.

Superb call by Ethan in the ressies also.

Some good commentators comg through.....will give the veteran David Clear something to think about.
