Tough crowd. We play risk free footy and can’t get a win to save our lives. Play daring footy and win 4 in a row but people want to pot Walker for a couple of moments in the game. Do people not realize that having the oppo’s best small forward having to be accountable to him more than balances the equation?

People have been pumping up the tyres of Johnson, and I was wondering if the tyres were being inflated too early.

He is a bull, stands up in tackles and holds the ball in until an option comes by. I can see why “draft watchers” were high on him.

Where are all the Narm (Melbourne) supporters at the game ?. I don’t give a rats about the weather, your team is playing in your town, you go. Too many theatre goers ?.

Saw more of the Aish I iked from last year, today. Worked harder and better decision making
He’s got very clean hands and reads the play very well.

Healy was criticising him for kicking into the forward 50 when Banfield was 1v2, but I thought it looked like a percentage kick to make the ball go out of bounds.

I kept thinking he was Fyfe with those blue shoes on.

Hes had a really good few weeks but he looked all at sea today. We got "bad Brandon" .. not surpirising ... Kozzie is an awesome player. It will be a good review for him.
No that's what your missing we got normal Brandon, there were some crap calls and Kozzie kicked opportunistic goals. About the only thing I saw Walker do poorly is that he doesn't handball quick enough in traffic, waits to see if he can burst free to often..
Played a fine game and I think your reaching in your criticism.

It wasnt just that Picket had some influence, Brandon got caught HTB at least twice? Maybe 3 times. Looked nervous, fumbly and indecisive on many occasions. Was lead to the ball. I am not a hater, just wasnt his best game considering he has made some major steps forward this year IMO.
One of the times he did actually handball it, it was just into a Narrm player.

So funny how at the start of the year we looked at our fixture and were like "hmm we should win our first 5 games, but then we dont have much of a chance from rounds 9-11, we'll probably be 6-5"
Evens out doesn’t it.
Losing v Roos at home. Still hurts.

The Hughes wing experiment being over is the best thing to happen for both our team and for Hughes himself. Backline has felt way more cohesive and consistent since he went back
Yep. Hughes is solid. Never will be afraid to make a strong contest even going backwards

Don't think he has been caught holding the ball since moving back. Most saw this along with his kicking as an issue. I never saw it was though

He looked badly fatigued in that last quarter, hopefully it can be attributed to that and it's something he can work on.

So there used to be this bloke that played for Freo as a forward/ruck. Tall skinny man, so tall he could kill geese flying over his head with a broom. Forgot his name..."Lube" or similar.
Anyhow, Jackson is 1000% better as a forward/ruck than he ever was.
:)
