What? So sit back and let things remain the same, Warren Tredrea should be fully applauded for having the balls to stand for the board and try and do something about the situation.i dont know what people expect from tredrea, the moment he joins the board his hands are tied and he cant say anything and if he did say something then he will be howled down as breaking footy policy. The only benefit might be he has more intricate knowledge of the inside happennings of the club but i get the feeling that any intricate or important information is kept away from the other board members under the guise of privacy with only the president and ceo knowing. You see this happen a million times at corporate level, the boards are really just YES men brought to be just that. They have no other option as they are railroaded the moment they get there.
For example i doubt the current board members have any knowledge of the fine details of Hinkley's contract except to the dollar figures, and term length. All the real details of his contract would be known to only about 3 people as it would all be hidden under privacy clauses. They would present it to the board in the simplest of terms and they would vote on it with the understanding any objection would means your dismissal from the board in the near future.
Personally i think treadrea should read the tea leaves and stay out of it until this Hinkley Cult implodes, that way he can say what he wants and present a case for the future without the stain of Hinkley, Koch or Davies. He would be much better doing that.
