Welcome Brad Dalziell

I'm with Embers on this one, I believe Dalziell will be a major player in our next GF win.

Oh, and to answer how he got past us, ask how Rioli, Cale Morton, Liam Anthony etc did as well..............shit happens, we only get a few picks and usually do very well in the draft but we can't get them all.

But Snoop, this isnt Rioli, Morton etc that we are talking about, its a good average player at best that has played maybe 15 games.

Just a little bit to much hype over a player that hasnt done a lot for my likeing. Mate i did say id prefer him over Staker but jesus, we arnt getting Riewoldt.

The main reason Dalziell slipped through the draft so far and so often is because he's injury prone. Add that to his inability to handball, his lack of pace and his inconsistant foot skills and well, you see where I'm going.

I think that when Fletcher flatlined in Vegas, the West Coast heirarchy took a sample of him and implanted it into the developing Dalziell, and programmed him to return to us when Fletcher retired.

:D

Word is, Dalziell has a big tank.

Incase you were unaware..

Didnt hear that, i was only told he could run all day, Dalziell and big tank havnt been in the same post from what ive been reading.

Im thinking from here on in, we just say big tank and everyone understands who we are talking about.

If the trade goes through, ill start a new thread and name it "we've secured big tank".

EagleMan 87, in my world thats called a 3 vote post.

sounds good.

dalziell is a decent pick up, i will not judge him until he has represented us. i do think he is very micky braun-like though.

he will sure up our midfield depth somewhat and become a handy player.

i hope staker will realise his true potential at another club, for brisbane and their fan's sake. im very relieved he's gone though...all these years...i dont think i could put up with anymore staker related dissapointment.

seaby will also be a real quality player for swans, especially if jolly leaves. very good pick up by them. i expect him to be one of the big improvers of 2010 in terms of output.

everybody wins here (although im not quite sure what brisbane see in buchanan).

I would sig that if I knew how

He's like fletcher but bigger, runs all day, can make logical decisions, can kick more than 35m and always puts in the effort.
A rich mans Fletcher.

Well lets be honest he has probably had a better 15 games than masten and ebert, but we still rate them very highly and yes I know there injuries etc. If we had drafted him people would be saying his young give him time etc.

Let's not forget that Fletcher was actually a good player for 2-3 seasons.

If Dalziell has an AA season, or can match Fletcher's best footy, we will have done well. Certainly, Brent Staker never played a season as good as Fletcher's 2004.

"The Swans were last night close to finalising a deal for West Coast ruckman Mark Seaby, who would not replace the highly regarded Jolly, but would at least bolster Sydney's diminished ruck stocks. Experienced midfielder Amon Buchanan is likely to be traded to Brisbane for the Lions' second-round pick (No.28), with the Swans' second pick (No.22) going to West Coast."

it's basically a done deal. Woodhouse is a star, he always comes away with the goods.

Did Brisbane overpay for Buchanan?

Welcome 'Razzel Dazzel' Dalziell!

Mate, the same paper also runs a story that has us getting pick 28 instead of pick 22.

The Swans will be major players in trade week - having all but secured West Coast ruckman Mark Seaby in a complicated three-way trade involving Amon Buchanan - who will go to Brisbane, and another Eagle Brent Staker, who will also join the Lions.

Lion Bradd Dalziell will join the Eagles, while Brisbane will send a draft pick that will end up with the Eagles in the exchange.

I read about the pick 22 in the Sydney Morning herald, this morning.

A great deal if done. Seaby is valuable so it is not a rip of, but pick 22 is great for us to build on in this years draft. There are VG players down to 25.

So, this Dalziell fellow, does he have a big tank? I don't think this has been discussed.
"Yo Cuz, I'm really happy for you, and I'ma let you finnish, but Dalziell has one of the biggest tanks OF ALL TIME!"

Apparently his tank is quite big.. I could be mistaken though

If its a 3 way deal as reported then we're obviously getting pick #28.. cause if not it would just be two sets of trades WCE/Syd and Syd/Bris.
It could be three lots of straight swaps, with WC/Bris as well, which I think would still get described as a three-eway trade, especially when the media don't yet know which draft picks are involved.
