I like the look of JoRo. But is it fair to assume he will be more of a third tall/rebounder than a legit shutdown tall?

More Guy McKenna than Darren Glass, if you'll allow the wildly optimistic analogy.

Or Sheppard 2.0?

Certainly. He’s never going to be a key defender

Schoey has a couple of inches on him I think. I’d rather Rotham play an attacking role rebounding from d50. Quick with good skills.
Maybe so but his height isn't disqualifying. Same height as Glass, for example.

But yes I agree he's probably not a key defender.

I just meant with Schoey, he's lightly built (well he was for a long time) but the fact he's 197 cm or whatever allowed him to play on key forwards thanks to his reach. Rotham is only 192 cm or something isn't he?

Very good debut in a massive game

He really picked up the tempo of the game really well which is something that you can never predict and is a very good sign for the future. Looks like he could end up a very similar sort to Sheppard (especially before Shep became a lock down type)

Yeah Rotham isn’t a kpd. He was smashed last year a couple times but that was probably to improve his defensive game. He’ll be a taller Shep in the future for us. I’ve mentioned above but he’s built very much like Andrew Mackie and plays similar.

Tom doedee from Adelaide is another one he plays like.

Still 20/21 but I hope he's able to add enough to his frame where he play on the De goeys or even Match up on the mobile KPF's like Riewolts and Jezza Camerons.

IMO he is Hurn's replacement when he retires. Until then he is backup for any of the medium defenders.

He had a very solid debut, saved a couple of goals with his speed, pressure on Cox drew a HTB free and he put the fist through several inside 50 kicks. Looks fit and confident in that role.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Once Hurn and Jetta retire we will still have a decent backline:

Cole Barrass Shep
Duggan Gov Watson

Bench: Rotham

Not convinced on Watson but i really want to see him debut this year to see if he has what it takes. Rotham has never really played a blinder in the WAFL but he came in and looked like he had played 50-60 games already.

Watson ain’t gonna make it IMO.

Should go try get a game for GC or St K or something
