If we have to pay him for two more years can we just get him doing odd jobs around prices park?

Some of those seats could do with a paint job.

Lets say he is on 250 ish. Is that all that unusual? I am not saying that his exposed form to date justifies any figure but looking at the player payment breakdown for the afl in 2014 http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-01-22/1m-club-shrinks-again
Then we take into account the following

1 he is not new to the system. Younger players get less
2 he is kpp
3 he was recruited as a top 22 player
4 we had to 'attract' him with an offer.

Now consider that the top 22 players in 18 clubs gives us 396 players. Lets work out what these players are earning as a range.. Working back from the right of the bands we can see that the top 429 players are earning the following
I47 players earned 200-300 k
128 players earned 300-400 k
76 players earned. 400-500k
32 players earned. 500-600k
46 players earned. 600k +

Which puts liam into the bottom band of afl senior players that are top 22. Hardly excessive i would have thought. Remember when we recruited him, we were considering that he would play most games in the seniors.

Give Liam a high vis vest and the keys to the maintenance shed at icon park.. Most expensive maintenance man ever!!

He's Jamo's replacement, it's just no one has realized it yet.
I just haven't seen that yet.

I also thought IIRC that the Dogs tried him back for disastrous results.

We'll never know. But Barker is kind of rejuvenating our playing group at the moment so it will be interesting to see if that applies to Jones as well. For some reason I doubt it... he doesn't strike me as a particularly motivated individual.
That's been his problem his whole career unfortunately

If he gets his hands on the ball early his confidence will soar, I reckon he plays well in open forward lines also, which he hasn't been afforded the luxury of the last 4 seasons playing for cellar dwellers with midfields who move it too slow/turn it over regularly. The last 2 games he played for us he got something like 2 possessions before he was banished to the VFL for 2 and a half months (including VFL finals).

Just don't think he has it unfortunately though, leaving the Dogs may kill his AFL career.

The shame of it all is that we're stuck with a 3 year contract.

I wondered why we've stuck with Cordy for so long, he was handy for a few weeks early in the year but I think his papers are stamped now.

Every club haw one of them players though, can only hope a Brisbane takes him off your hands.

Just don't understand why anyone would give him a 3 year contract.

Sure we probably thought he'd offer more this year but considering he wasn't exactly highly sought after and what not... just dun geddit.
