A right foot/blonde version of Jordan Lewis.

More a Brad Sewell type for mine. Both contested beats, but a little untidy off the boot.

Expect Worps, if not already better than Sewelly in this area, will clearly be so when he gets to 50 games.

I haven’t been as excited about a first year player since buddy emerged from the gloom against Richmond in 2005 and kicked a brilliant running goal.
Yeah, I was there that day. I remember in early games feeling nervous but excited when he took everyone on running and bouncing like that. Got caught a few times too.

Here is his heat map for anyone interested.

Played 79% game time.
12 pressure acts
124 metres gained.

Here’s my heat map when I watch him play...

Yep, found it. That's the player he reminds me of.

Disagree. Seem like polar opposites. Sewell had a HUGE tank, Worpel doesn’t - ( at this stage) Worpel appears a lot quicker than Brad. Brads kicking range was very limited. Worpel can kick like a mule.

One common factor does appear to be that they are both ferocious at attacking the ball

At this point I can’t really compare him to aby previous player. He does though appear to be a little bit special, here hoping he goes on with it...

Big bodied - tick
Contested beast - tick
Good tackler - tick
Slightly untidy disposal - tick

I'd say Billy Hartung is more polar opposites, but we all see different things.

I'd fast forward a little to round 1 2008 when Cyril made his debut.

Good call.

Funny thing about rioli is he was so superior in his first season that it felt as though he was playing for years.

Buddy took time. Rioli was doing insane things.

How he slipped to pick 12!
