How dare we even have some optimism going into a game of football. We may as well not bother watching this game. In fact the AFL could save tens of thousands of dollars by not bothering to fly the team over for the game at all.

Optimism ? I admit alot of the Eagles supporters are getting ahead of ourselves but most of your lot think you will win. Main reason is because of your supposed pace. We have beaten you guys at your home ground this year yet it doesn't count because you had a few injuries ? Now Carlton love playing at Subi because you beat us when we were absolutely woeful and same with Fremantle.

As I have already said before anything an happen and it's a 50/50 game when the ball is bounced but we should be very warm favorites with the bookies and we really should be able to beat Carlton.

In reply to people saying Judd will dominate. Why will Judd fire ? Because he is playing at his old ground in a final ? He didn't do anything against the bombers despite his team nt winning a final in 10 years. You'd think he would lift for that. Scott Selwood is one of if not the best tagger in the game and absolutely killed Judd last time we played. Look for it to happen again. I'm more worried about Murphy.

Because he's a champion.

And he has that crooked grin going on at the moment.

He does have that grin yes. He also has the grimace he does every time he breathes.

Just because he's a champion doesn't mean he will dominate. Don't worry mate, I know because your a Fremantle supporter you wouldn't know what a champion is but just ask a few questions and I'm sure all posters will be happy to help:heart:

Are you trying to get my attention?

Shoo.

Even when you guys beat us earlier in the year, they still gave you guys headaches... basically because of them that they dragged us back in it in the 3rd term...

I think we're going to win... Gibbs out will be a big loss, but it's having our defence back to this game compared to last time we played has me confident!

Is Gibbs def out?

Theres arrogance on both sides of this one
Both teams back their own side..rightfully so

Just start the game already :D

My daughter is having her birthday party on Saturday night so i am going to miss my first match for the year. I am so pissed at my wife for having a child 17 years ago in September, she new this would happen to me.

Like last week when he got toweled up by Hocking ?
Essendon put 99% of their effort into stopping Judd, they drew up one of their forward flankers to block Judd's run at stoppages along with Hocking. This left the Carlton backline with one spare making it easier for us to rebound off HB. They did this while getting smashed in the ruck and clearances giving them no chance of scoring. While they were completely focussed on Judd Murphy destroyed them, I doubt the eagles will try this tactic.

No doubt it's gonna be close. Hope the Eagles do put alot of emphasis on Judd and doesnt matter what...he's gonna have a cracker!!

West Coast are gonna be hard to beat. They have been consistent all year but this weekend their season will come to an end.

Go the Blues!! By 2 goals

it could be a blowout we kick big scores at home

How is this relevent? Fact - small forwards struggle in finals. Fact - Carlton rely on most of their goals from small forwards. Fact - Carlton will struggle to score until the game is over.

Settle down mate, no need to get upset and run to your stats.

Eagles will be far too good for Carlton, It annoys me when these arrogant Carlton supporters say Subiaco is wide and it will suit their pace when it is narrower than Etihad where we flogged them earlier in the year. We also obviously play Subi better than anyone in the league and our spread from stoppages and our press will kill them. Eagles by 9 goals.

I fail to see how you can downplay us scoring heaps of points against 8th and 10th placed sides, and at the same time play up the fact that your lot scored heaps of points against an 11th placed side.

I wasn't playing down anything. The Bulldogs were terrible when you flogged them and Essendon haven't won at Subi for years and were limping towards the end of the year.

I put the Carlton score against Dockers in there as it's the only time we have played at Subi this year.

The stats don't point to a blowout as suggested by the poster I was replying to.

Fact: We had 40 scoring shots on Sunday...
Fact: Our small forwards gathered plenty of goals...
How is your third "fact", a fact?
