I would still like to see Bruce down back for extra bulk and agility, as he is not working wonders in the forward line.. or bring Lee in- I reckon Fisher and Dempster will get caught out and need help against WCE.
We lacked an X-factor in our forward line against North, and that was Sinclair, so if fit, he comes in for Lonie. Not sure if Armo is OK, but if he doesn't come up, then Murdoch or Eli, though I reckon Murdoch has a stronger body and is a great kick, compared to running power of Eli. If Roo doesn't come up, then Paddy comes in.
It may mean we only win by a few goals rather than six or seven.

Bruce is still getting accustomed to being the number 1 target and he's still got more goals than Tex Walker this year.

Putting him down back solves no problems and hinders the team.

Interesting challenge. Usually McKenzie breaks even with Roo on the leads. Not anymore with the mid positioning and the reduced rotations.
After a year out, Mackenzie is in some very ordinary form. He hasn't lost any pace after the reco, but that's probably because he has dropped about 5kg of muscle to lessen the stress load on the knee. Crucially, it seems he doesn't get our new defensive system that we developed in his absence. I expect Schofield will take Roo (he took Hawkins last week), and Mackenzie will continue to plod along aimlessly.

Bruce 2015 - 10.91 disposals pg, 5.00 marks pg, 2.27 goals pg, 1.82 contested marks pg.
Bruce 2016 - 10.71 disposals pg, 4.86 marks pg, 2.00 goals pg, 2.14 contested marks pg.

Rumours of his demise are somewhat exaggerated.
Only a matter of time before he kicks a bag too, has quiet days and still manages 2/3 so I can't wait till the major of Canberra is on song.

And what a damn fine mayor he is.

Interesting that Shents, along with Paddy, are the two Zebras with highlights this week - NOT Eli.

It couldn't happen, could it...?

Tex has been carrying some kind of injury. No reason not to try Bruce down back- a lot of potential forwards have become great backmen over the years.

I like to be as agreeable as i can but put simply you're wrong.

He'll float back on occasion like Roo does but he's a forward. He still has to play Freo the Bombers twice and Carlton twice with Richmond thrown in. He's got a few bags coming

Roberton for mine surely comes in if fit, but if not I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Shenton (yes i'm serious) get a run and apply pressure whether that be in the forward or defensive 50.

IN - Roberton/Shenton, Paddy, Sinclair/Eli
OUT - Lonie, Meatball, Gresh

Id give GRESH another go, he showed more then Minch and Lonie

Was quiet early but after that whenever he got the ball he just looked very very good with it. They way he is aware of what's going on around him, stops, props and shoots out a handball after drawing a player is Sam Mitchell-like, a very good sideways mover. As he builds up and develops more over the years this will only become more beneficial in congested midfield situations.

Look at Harvey, Burke, Jones, Smith, Heatley, Spider all tearing it up!
It's a great video! Heatley was on fire, that soccer goal was ridiculous, he was seeing the ball so well that year.

One can forget how good Joel Smith was until you see videos like that again. He did his knee a few weeks later, it was right in front of me at the G as I was sitting on the fence that day. Was an awful injury and a big part in the bad luck that conspired in us not winning the big one that year.

Josh came to us as a back man and was not very good at it. He has been a revelation as a forward and needs to stay there.

But Eli was highlighted last week and wasn't selected.

Maybe the site's on delay
