West Coasters Flag Prospects 2020

Except they have screwed their rebuild. 4 years out of finals and they only have 2 x top 10 picks on their list. They won’t win the spoon in 25 but still need to replace 15 players in drafts with an expansion team coming.

How can they possibly get the youth actually winning a flag in 6 seasons if the bulk of them aren’t on the list yet? Even if their recruiting and development massively improve in 2025, they will need a miracle for the build to not be impacted by Tassie and maybe cost them the few extra pieces they will need.
Time will tell

No check when initially posted, but any year ending in a 0!!!
It should be the Tim Kelly toast thread.

I think he stopped a Geelong slip down the ladder 2018-2019, then we sent him home and converted him into Jeremy Cameron for a flag - the missing piece to that squad. One who again has kept Geelong being in that contending space.

Kelly has also been decent enough for West Coast, albeit not near his 2019 best.

Wrong thread!!!

Typo in thread title, did the OP mean 2030?
It has morphed into that. My guess is they have a 5% chance of winning the flag in 2030. Won’t be able to turn it around that quick if it has taken them 4 years to get their current list once it tanked.

Other teams with current better lists will be primed by then too & Tassie will impact the finish.
