What are you most worried about for your team in 2025?

So, people have been asked what their greatest concern is with their club in season 2025, and your worry is that they've given it?

Rather than telling us you're not happy with the answer, perhaps you can extrapolate whichever post you're not content with to relate to the most important players on that squad?
We've seen some interesting, insightful posts about the club-specific areas of concern in this thread. I directly offered the type of response that I find interesting - be the change you want to see and all that. If you need me to quote each post I like and didn't like to offer a specific analysis, I'm happy to do so.

The bunch of "well I hope we don't get injuries" posts added little, but at least seemed to impress you.

We've both offered our opinions on the different types of responses, so it's probably time to move on now.

That's all well and good, but the reality is nobody cares what you think.

Injuries.

You're welcome to, but I wouldn't find it interesting.

Reality is, it's not your place to speak on behalf of the OP who literally included an injury in their own answer.

Fan/media over-expectation putting unnecessary pressure on.

North could play better in 2025 and win even less games. Anything from 2 to 5 wins is a pass, so long as the thumpings are less common and more improvement is seen from those younger players who haven't shone yet.

Is there any media expectation? It feels like everyone thinks you'll absolutely stink up the joint again. You're paying $19 to make finals.

Surely it's time to get competitive and move on from the idea 2-5 wins is a pass. Not saying you should expect to push for finals but surely this squad can win 6 games and have a percentage in the 80s at a minimum.

Cool, well I provided a detailed club specific response on the topic alongside my post, you just came to bitch and contribute nothing.

Well done on taking a pointless stand though, must have felt good.

I'm not the one complaining about what other people consider their greatest worry for their team in 2025.

You can step down off that high horse now.

Cool story.

Your singular contribution to this thread was "Injuries" and I am proud of you driving an engaging discussion with that brilliant insight. Some of us went a different way. My post was hardly a rant without substance as I then provided the very antithesis of the thing I noted as pointless. Whereas all you did was complain about the first part of my post. Which again, drives zero discussion.

If you do however need me to modify my original answer to "injuries" to make you more comfortable, I am incredibly happy to do so.

Again, I'm not the one who felt it was my place to tell people their answers were wrong or insufficient.

Because that would be an utterly ridiculous thing to do.

You're free to respond as you wish to the OP, so too is everyone else. I'm really sorry that has disturbed you.

Collingwood for me is injuries.
And if they can run out a full season.
Its a long one.
Thats all at pies.
All comes down to fitness.
If they are fit enough they can and will win the premiership.
All comes down to the health of the list

I don't believe I broke any rules by describing the kind of answers I found uninteresting/generic and the ones I liked, while also adding a substantial reply to the topic itself. It's an opinion forum and I didn't attack any one individual, or troll. You're the only person that has had a sensitive reaction to it.

You're the moderator though - not me - so simply refer me to the relevant section where I have infringed and I can edit my posts to make you more comfortable.

daniher is the obvious and boring answer.

more interesting, im worried the coaches are going to try to squeeze 'better' players into the team at the risk of having a better overall profile for the side. the most obvious example for this is keidean coleman. coleman is obviously better than the current player most would point to as the weakest link in brisbane's back 7 (answerth) but answerth is real asset defensively. with the way the game is going favouring teams that tend to rely on smalls / flankers to kick goals (sydney, collingwood, geelong, hawks) i think having answerth and starcevich as two players who can really clamp down on those types is a real point of difference that i dont think is worth giving up to try fit coleman back in to the side.

Ah yes, the “you’re a moderator card”.

How interesting.

Perhaps let’s allow people to post in as much depth as they want on the topic, without feeling the need to tell them their responses aren’t good enough?

That Josh Gibcus joins the likes of Anthony Morabito and Scott Gumbleton as a high draft pick that could never overcome serious injury.

Apparently you’re not allowed to mention injuries. Try again.

Please show me where I infringed and I can better cater to your reading needs. Otherwise, you're just arguing for the sake of it.

The ironic thing is you're advising a poster on what they can and can't say, when I simply offered thoughts on interesting or uninteresting content before contributing my own. Looks like you're the one doing more attempted censoring as you haven't actually discussed football at all during this conversation (whereas in my original post, I obviously did).

Try again.

I’m not a mod on this board mate. It’s really weird you’ve played the mod card.

I guess that’s what people tend to do though when their actual argument stinks.

Congratulations on not being worried about injuries. Clearly you’re in the minority and that’s ok.

You're not even making any sense. You are however trying to censor and moderate what I'm saying, so with your expertise of the rules you could perhaps help me make an improvement in my posts.

Yes, the thread would be so much more interesting if it consisted of 100x replications of your singular word response: "Injuries". Some of us used a little more insight and articulated club-specific answers around personnel, strategy, game plan etc. If you could only muster "injuries" that's fine though and I appreciate you giving your best.

Bloody hell. What a fantastic problem!

No, I’m not doing that at all. I’ve told you I’m not a mod on this board, so I literally can’t do that.

Any other fairy tales you’d like to share with us?

If not, let me clarify again for those hard of reading. All I've said is that the OP mentioned injuries, so it’s not really your place to tell those who respond that they can’t.

This is a whole lot of fuss over my post that amounted to "These are the types of responses I found interesting and uninteresting. Here is my own contribution". You've picked apart my phrasing but that was the point, that nobody wants injuries yet all have a more detailed understanding of their club's potential weaknesses - hence their interesting points made. It was a mere sidenote that lead into my on topic response.

Focussing on that first bit to have this back and forth discussion on semantics has actually derailed the thread, so congratulations. On top of your one word response of "injuries", you have now made the thread about 10x as boring.
