What do we do with all these ruckmen?

well this sucks :(

the article could at least to tell us the source of this supposed request of jolly.... press release, comment from player manager? at least then we could know whether this is absolute rubbish or not

jolly isn't our best player.... but he's definately the most important player to our side.... and a ruckman of his quality is worth his weight in gold

if true maybe.....

cam wood/josh fraser + 1st rounder + 3rd rounder

seems a lot, but he's worth it.... it's either this or better or he stays under contract (unless the family reasons are genuine and serious, then we might have to settle just a little)

Cam Wood and Fraser can bugger off, they're both shithouse.

1st rounder plus Nathan Brown

Fair enough.

My Fraser suggestion wasn't based on his ability so much, as I don't rate it that highly per se, but he's certainly better than the alternatives you have on your list (pending Seaby trade overlooked). Even as a permanent forward he might have something to offer.

Fraser and their first rounder for Jolly and third rounder seems fair to me.

We gave you your second placed best and fairest last season for barely nothing so we're expecting you to return the favour ;)

If it is Jolly for #14 and Cook I would be over the moon. Cook is a gun VFL player, and given the right opportunity could be good in a different environment. He is a decent tagger and alright around goals.

Jolly is more valuble to us than Shaw however, not on performance but value to us because of the role he provides.

If he's going I would look at 14 and Dawes.

I wouldn't rule out Dawes being in the deal, but I think we'd want something back if it were #14 + Dawes for Jolly. Maybe a swap of later picks.

#14 + Cook for Jolly would probably require a little more from us.

I would think that if we dealt Shannon Cox to WCE, or some deal involving Leon Davis... to help you get Seaby then #14 alone would be plenty.

N Brown and Ben Reid will not be involved in the trade, you can put your house on it.

Once again Collingwood supporters expecting gold for biscuits. He's contracted and you can bet there will be other Victorian clubs chasing him, so he will not come cheap at all.

^ Simply because I've stated that Brown, Reid and Wood will not be involved in the trade, does not mean I'm asking for "gold for biscuits". But please, continue to believe that if you don't get your dream scenario then you've been ripped off. We'll see how it goes down next week.

If i was the Hawks i would stop Chasing SB and try get Jolly, Which i think we need more, any chance Pick 9 + Throp (Or another player Swans keen on?)

pick 9 + josh kennedy + maybe a 4th/5th rounder to sweeten the deal (to which no one is really likely to use)

most swans fans would be happy with that i think, so will the club given their expressed interest in kennedy

FMD. This can't be happening!

He's ranked 4th in our Club Championship this year and is inducted into the Swans Leadership Group.

& will be convinced to stay on until the end of his contract, gain Life Membership of the Club & go on to be named 2010 Bob Skilton Medallist.
Sound familiar?

dream on. pick 14 n brown and dick?? so you want a top 15 pick, a 10 year+ key defender and the next leon davis in return for a 28 year old ruckman who might have 4 years left at the top level? surely you jest

the deal is for pick 14 and a fringe player who if you believe the chatter at last night's copeland will be ryan cook. the deal is done and only has to be signed off on on monday morning

and for those bagging me for starting baseless rumours on here, well well well, i hate to say i told you so but.....

It is still a rumour, peanut.

I'd be pretty disappointed if Jolly left and kind of surprised he'd request a trade back to Melbourne with 2 years to run on his contract but we haven't heard anything from the Swans yet, I'm not surprised that Collingwood are keen though because Fraser and Wood are not really top class ruckmen and Jolly would make their side even stronger, so if he really does want to go we're in a good position to get adequate compensation. It certainly explains our interest in Seaby.

I'd be happy with 14 plus Dawes.

Look, if Jolly seriously wants to return to Melbourne, we may as well get the best deal we can. This is not the first time this Jolly-back-to-Melbourne rumour has been aired at this time of the season.

It's rumour for about another 16-18 hours until the paperwork is signed off

i don't rely on media rubbish for my info. i was all over this almost 2 weeks ago through people i know at a couple of clubs and esp one friend of mine involved with haw. rest assured haw had a massive crack at him too and when i 1st posted my mate thought they were the front runners. but it seems the pies have won out. it is definitely for pick 14 and a player. that is why pick 14 has not been raised in any discussions with carl on fevola, as it was committed to syd late last week

The only paperwork going on here involves folding or scrunching, and you are a scruncher. Tell Mr X not to mix his cordials .

i may well be a knob. i have been called alot worse in my time!!!

but bolded below you will see various statement that are exactly in keeping with what i have said - disucssions on jolly's potential move have been happening for some time

Darren Jolly set for shock switch to Magpie
Greg Denham | October 05, 2009

Article from: The Australian
AFTER 113 consecutive games with Sydney, ruckman Darren Jolly appears certain to join Collingwood via this week's annual player-exchange period.
While Jolly's request to be traded to the Magpies took the football world by surprise on the weekend, he has been in lengthy discussions for several months with the Swans about returning home to Victoria.
To help facilitate the move, Jolly, who has served two years of his four-year contract with the Swans, engaged experienced Melbourne-based player agent Paul Connors a month ago.
