It’s not about evidence holding up in court. He’s not going to court.

If the photo isn’t photoshopped, then it’s Smith holding his own bag of drugs. And it’s out there in the open.

Nobody takes a selfie holding a bag of coke that they don’t use, someone else’s bag of coke or a bag of washing powder.

Conversely the footy world can move on quick if you get your house in order. Everyone moved on from Libba and Dusty’s early stuff ups because they pulled their heads in a bit and played well, but if you keep going there is a point of no return.

Reports are he wants big bucks to sign, but the post season brawl, breaks from the club, head butting and now this are no doubt a series of red flags for other clubs. Hope he gets the hint.

What a f'n disappointment this club is when we should be in one of the best periods the club has ever seen. So much underachieving and simply stupid shit has gone on the last 6 years. What Smith is doing in the pic doesn't concern me so much, that's life, it's just the stupidity of allowing himself to be taken in a photo/video. If he is that dumb, then he is dumb at other things. This guy could be the most lucrative player of all time with his off field $ and i really thought he was smarter than that.

Just another one for the clubs shiiit list during what should be a very successful period. Between the underachieving of a great list and the stupid free kicks i see in all AFL games, i'll be sticking to NBA as my #1 sport

"I'm just trying to play this year as well as I can. I obviously don't want to go anywhere. I leave it to my manager to talk about and he tells me when it gets serious and when to put pen to paper and I'll say 'Done'. I'm just there to sign. That's the thing. I don't want to go anywhere else," Smith told AFL.com.au this month.”

It gets made out that he’s such an egotistical, big headed wannabe superstar who can’t wait to jump ship to a big club - literally couldn’t be further from the truth, he’s as humble as they come off the field.

In reality he’d be close to the hardest worker on our list, has put more time & effort into his fitness & health than 99.9% of the people on the internet potting him - who really gives a shit if he enjoys himself in his own time - would be nice if our own supporters could at least just show some support & move on, rather than pushing the bs narrative further, but instead weve got our own supporters comparing him to Ben Cousins lmao

TBH this will just enhance his “superstar but bad boy” image like it has for the likes of Dusty, Buddy, Swan etc

Not sure how you can criticise stupid free kicks in the AFL and praise the NBA in the same. Terrible sport, terribly officiated and **** me dead terribly boring - each to their own I guess

Free kicks from ruck contests, dissent and manning the mark are much worse than the top NBA players getting gifted calls.
And players getting paid the whole AFL salary cap still aren't stupid enough to be caught in photos/videos doing "stuff".

It's funny other (esp. US) are now being compared, because, although you don't seem to see it, the cause and effect are identical.

Fans want higher scoring games. Leagues/commissioners constantly change rules to make it so.

The NBA's gifted callas are exactly the AFLs 'avoid congestion' rules, which are exactly the NFLs almost unmatchable pass defence rules, which are cricket's smaller grounds/one bouncer rules... etc, etc.

(As for 'other' sports stars around the world not being stupid enough to get caught? Lol. Come on man... )

I have no doubt he’s put in the work. One of the fittest in the AFL. You can rest assured his manager has requested Bont level money and a deal isn’t close (or wasn’t last I heard). There’s nothing wrong with that, and he might just be trying it on. It’s a bad look though if this stuff hits the papers.
