It’s becoming a bit of a worry IMO. The incidents by themselves as a young male aren’t all that bad but the issue is Baz isn’t just a typical young male. He’s created such a high profile for himself that unfortunately he can’t act like any other young male and will always have a target on his back.

It never ceases to amaze me the retrograde beliefs many have about recreational drugs in society.

"Don't do that stuff it's illegal"
"Player looks sore. Get him a jab and get him back on"

No matter how you slice it. Those two thoughts are incongruous. But shared by a great many.

I'm probably the Lone Ranger here, but those pics do not prove he used anything.
He's holding a bag.

21 year old lairising at a party in front of his mates?

Yep.

Evidence of guilt?

Nuh.

Circumstantial evidence, not proof. Those pics would never result in a conviction in court.

However, everyone loves a pile-on, so insinuate, guess, assume, sensationalise and demonise as much as you like.

Especially if you're "in the know".

Worst case scenario we are looking at an additional 2-4 week ban in line with what Stengle and Crouch got.

The events of the past 7 days or so unfortunately mean Smith will probably throw a certain BnF down the drain.
Not to mention a possible All Australia, sponsorship $$, contract $$

The club would rightfully cop it if we came out and said nah he was just holding it he didn’t use it hahaha. Just cop it on the chin, 2 extra weeks on the suspension who cares not playing finals anyway - he’s cost himself AA but anyway no big loss to us, hopefully he doesn’t lose his Monster or Cotton On sponsorship as a result

Yeah it’s just the dumb taking pics and sending them out that gets me, they never learn. Tbf I’ve documented plenty of the dumb shit I’ve done over the years it’s an easy mistake to make and sounds like it might have been from 2019 when he was what, 18?

Slap on the wrist, apology for being a poor role model and move on - knowing our club we’ll make an example out of him in a huge show of strength, yet we’re happy to fold on the things that matter but anyway

IMO drugs should be legal, free too, preferably. Socialised. But how low IQ do you have to be take a selfie with it...
I’m quite surprised anyone would stand up for him on that front.

We could argue about whether drugs should be legalised etc, or whether it matters players take them.

Fact is they are still illegal, and if you’re the player with the biggest social media presence in the game you might just not want to distribute photos of you using them.
