I've had enough of all of these kents already.

Nothing would satisfy me more right now than drafting H.Reid and watch him kick a bag against the tin-rattlers.

And anyone else wanting to entertain splitting the pick in this massively compromised draft needs to give themselves an uppercut as well.

I'll say this there is Finn O Sullivan next year who's producing as much as mckerch is doing..

But there is no harley Reid next year...
Good point RE no Reid next year...

Lots of great options at the pointy end of the draft next year: J.Smith, Draper, Smilie, Moraes and O'Sullivan. None really like Reid at all, so take Reid this year and best one to compliment our midfield next year.

Well, if Hasleby and Spurr say we trade pick 1........... 🤮

West Coast have been urged to stare down any suitors for the No.1 selection they hold in the upcoming national draft, before splitting it into two high-end picks.
Respected pundits and former AFL players Paul Hasleby and Lee Spurr both called on the Eagles to double their value in an expected quality first round.

That’s why they played for the Dockers

Safer option and VFL friendly option splitting pick 1 but not sure Halseby (great player) , Spurr ( handy player ) will influence many draft watchers .

Eagles will get some big offers maybe we should play safe and take the picks but we now have Todd Nisbett as a recruitment manager in Perth working under the Head Recruitment manager in Melbourne.....both have been very good recently, I have faith .

The West article is a load of nothing - surprise! It states outright that North are really the only option and then Hase suggests that they should hold out but 2 and 14 would be a great offer (it is not clear why the club would need to hold out to get this offer) and Spurr says you'd want a top 5 and a top 10 (more reasonable I guess).

Just by way of query - has been a lot of speculating about trades involving the north future picks which are "up for review" - has it actually been confirmed or even implied anywhere at all that they actually can do anything with those picks this year? The AFL statement read to me as "if you lot still stink this bad next year you will get these then" (and presumably if they climb up to mid table they will get adjusted to something more reasonable). Obviously they could take the chance and trade out their normal future picks though.

Oh well we miss out on Curtin then.

Dickhead VFL what's their ******* problem.

Quick somebody ask Mathew Pavlich's Mrs what we should do with our picks.

This is going to be a long draft period due to the afl playing their heavy hand. Vic's must be Vic's I guess.

Im 100% on the conspiracy that afl knew what they gave norf would go toward Reid staying a Vic

I hope we laugh them out of town if the offer is 2 and 14. That is a ridiculous offer.

If they want Redi, 2 and another very high pick, please. At a minimum. They should be able to prise 4 from Gold Coast as all the Suns are interested in are the points, so 4 for 14 and 19 works.

Must admit, it'd be very hard to turn down 2 and 4 for Reid. He's an absolute gun but I don't think there has been a draftee that is worth more than 2 and 4.

I would be comfortable either way - it's a very strong hand to have, for both us and North. But we have the player they want and if they want him bad enough then we should be making them go over and above. You could possibly even squeeze pick 19 from them with us sending back 34, but maybe that's a bit OTT.

I hope to god western bulldogs get pick 4.

And GCS laugh norf time rattlers out of town with their pick 14 19 20.
To be fair I’d rather North use the picks to make a play at 4 to get Sanders than make a play at 1 to get Reid… What they SHOULD be doing is trading the picks for established KPP, take Curtin/O’Sullivan/Murphy/Archer Reid to develop behind them

Now that north have been kissed on the dick with all these extra draft picks, I think you really gotta squeeze it out of them.

I’m telling them to trade away their two first rounders for GC4, then giving us 2,3 and 4 for 1. Put up or shut up.

Quarterman article, enough said is really a terrible journalist I am surprised he still has a job

Gil was asked the question on VFL360 tonight. Said straight-out that NM can trade them this year to make them better immediately. He said if they make the 8 next year and haven't traded them then they'll lose them, so they really should trade them to improve this year's draft hand and get better now. So including pick 19, they're basically gifting them an extra two/three top 20 picks for this year.

VFL spuds.

Realistically speaking, if we really only want to downgrade for Curtin then North have us by the balls. McKay compo will screw us over as I doubt North would take Curtin with pick 2 alone. People hoping for 2 and 3, or 2 and GCs first for 1 will be sorely disappointed, we have no leverage in any sort of trade as North are the only club we can trade down with. 1 for 2 and 14, or 2, 14 and F19 will be the deal, if s**t falls through (and I hope to hell this doesnt happen but its West Coast) we might just take Curtin with 1. Trust with the club is at an all time low right now. Reid needs to be taken with 1 but we're run by monkeys right now.
Why do you torture yourself so
