Lmao you basically got beaten by TDK and Elijah Hollands mate... Get your hand off it.

Our best players lifted for about 10 minutes in the 4th quarter after you threw everything you had at us in the 3rd and it was lights out.

Essendon has some up and coming talent but the ease of which we scored against you with your full strength backline should have been the main take away from the night and a concern going forward.

Cripps, Walsh, Curnow, McKay and Weitering all had meh nights and we still walked away with the points. Not sure I'd be too confident in a rematch if I was a Bombers fan.
IF you're going to throw barbs, be right

Redman was a key out..

And this whole Tom De Kooning blitz Todd Goldstein is far from correct. Goldstein was beaten but Todd proved his worth in a mighty effort against one of the up and coming ruck stars.

It was an almighty choke on Sunday

older? 5 players 29 or older
More experienced? Carlton had more 100 game players
Bigger bodies? lol
More first rounders? Haha, yes, the might of Will Setterfield, 2MP and Jayden Laverde versus the role playing Jacob Weitering, Sam Walsh, Charlie Curnow and Harry McKay

Haha, the only idiots who think it was a choke are the ones who think it was some sort of mighty win with there backs to the wall..

for al the chest beating, the raw stats and data shows that Essendon had there fair chances to put a dent into the scoreline.

More scoring shots
more disposals
more inside 50's
more tackles

Of cours the polish to finish off the hard work let us down but we were right in the game. two weeks in a row that bad kicking has let Essendon down.

So you're saying you won on expected scores. Congratulations!
Melbourne will be pissed that Essendon are stealing their favourite excuses for losing.

Sometimes the inside 50s are meaningless if you are just booting the ball in like Melbourne. All clubs could increase those numbers by about a dozen if they just threw the ball on the boot.

But to only score 1 goal from intercepting the ball from an attacking midfield position is probably unheard of.

34 midfield intercepts! That game gets played again next week and the Bombers are comfortable winners.
You continue to state that , as if Carlton were playing to their best and essendon not so much .
It's exactly the same as the bombers/ Magpies game. Do you think Essendon will get you next time, or is this just your biased opinion shining through

Essendon are the new version of the England cricket side. Quite happy for you to take the moral victory

This Carlton side looks primed, and could very well go all the way this year. I am guilty myself of underestimating them (and Voss).

They are playing fast, direct and super efficient football that is damn exciting to watch.

Playing the Swans on the MCG, I would almost back them.

Brad Scott couldn't find it in his heart to give Cincotta any votes given he obliterated Merrett and kicked 3 goals himself. Bloke is seriously delusional

Yeah obliterated the bloke who got the most contested possessions on the ground.

They didn’t even run the tag for most of the last quarter.

I'm not even trying to be a Kent here but I really can't fathom how anyone watching that game could have thought the Don's looked the better team or the team who would win a rematch. Blues destroyed them in clearance and CP and defended their inside 50s with ease, Bombers were all at sea any time there was any sort of speed on the ball and that was without Curnow or McKay asserting themselves on the contest like we know they can.

Bizarre.
