How does it make any sense to ditch Rutten for Yze who has never been a head coach, it contradicts that whole week where they were running after Clarkson and let Rutten out to dry with he rhetoric that "Everything needs to change".. I mean, you might as well hire Caracella instead, who has been in more successful teams/clubs than anyone in the league but hasn't been a lead coach. My point is, it's not a good look if we don't go for an experienced and successful head coach, because of our last ten years where nothing really worked. I mean, technically, they probably shouldn't even consider Hird either, especially because during the big 1 hour interview in 2016, he just admitted too many mistakes but was very apologetic, but that's another discussion.

EFC have really backed themselves in a corner here. They sort of have to find the likes of a Lyon, Scott, Hardwick or it goes against what they are trying to look forwards towards, and as we know, Clarkson, Lyon and Cameron aren't happening.

Caracella is part of the group of coaching staff that were failing to get the outcome from our team. Specifically, he was in charge of ball movement which looked horrendous at times. I think it’s unlikely we appoint someone already at the club.

Rutten might have been selling the right message (IMO he was, and was demanding the right type of player) but simply wasn’t able to get that message through to the playing group.

Yze might be able to sell that message in a way that gets through to the playing group.

Thinking about Brad Scott a well resourced AFL person that probably coached well to the resources that were afforded to him. If he was prepared to go through our process it would definitely spike my interest.

It’s quarter time…
And Brayshaw is an elite runner lol. Won’t stop till the final siren, that’s a very early assessment my friend.
If only freo had Parish instead of Brayshaw

From what I've heard about Scott (albeit from someone who worked with him a bit and not a player) is that he's good to work with, collavroative, very well liked and a smart bloke.

What I wasn't so keen on was he was a bit old school in terms of his thinking around technology and dmore modern approaches in the football department. This was despite North trying to advance their football department in ways we only pretended to at the time.

My main question is pretty minor but would be is he going to be able to bring out the best the clubs resources has to offer - especially when we already have dinosaurs like Dodoro in the way of progress (IMO).

This concern would probably be tempered by the incredible value of experience his time at North could bring to this new opportunity. I'd be surprised If he wasn't a strong choice If he was keen.

If they want experience Scott miles in front of Yze.

Don't think they will go for an unknown IMO.
