I love it how CArr0w's big gotcha moment was 'der her her, you forgot about Tasmania...' when anyone with a half functioning brain would have considered that in line with the number of other possibilities such as other teams folding, the world ending, etc., and deduced that any possibilities in addition to the existing 18 team competition at the time were immaterial to the final result.
But, but, but... 'Tasmania! Gotcha!'.
Fudgey lay off the bongs and get back to footy talk. Ur calculations are a pisstakeNo, it's apparently far too complex for you to get your head around.
And so too for your Carlton brethren.
But I do understand that it's not a scenario you really want to be considering. So I do get that....
You would rather spend your time focusing on how 'next year will finally be the year when everything is different!'
Oh.
So we can't derive a rationale to calculate the probability of a team (any team) not winning a premiership for the next 21 years, because it's not a 'coin toss simulation' (or situation)?
I appreciate it's not a scenario you would like to imagine, but unfortunately for you, your team is well on it's way to making it a reality.
So....
Carlton not winning a flag for the next 21 years:
- It's not 0%
- It's not 100%
It MUST therefore be somewhere inbetween, right?
The Fadge historian strikes again!Like we wouldn't play finals because we only added Acres in an off season?
"At least we're not like Carlton or Essendon"Even more hilarious - no wins against Essendon
The Fadge historian strikes again!
No I was being churlish. You almost definitely rorted the cap then too but it was 30 years ago now. If you have to go back to 1987 for your last premiership we’re getting beyond living memory and that’s too cruel even for Blues supporters. Why should they take away the 95 flag?
Keep crying me your bitter tears Collingwood boy.
NoYou want to have another think about that?
when was your last flag? When was your last non merger, non academy flag?
its incredible every year the same carlton posters trot out the same lines that are proven horribly wrong once the season begins29 years and counting.
A 30% probability of the drought extending to 50 years and beyond.
Ours was 1995, still waiting for what year you won a non merger/academy flagwhen was your last flag?
You tell mewhen was your last flag won without rorting the cap?
What year did the competition become "professional"when was your last flag won in a professional competition?
Sure they wouldthe neutral observer would value brisbane's 2024 triumph alone over carltons 16 premierships as a collective.
Good for youThe real competition is indeed more than just Carlton V dirty birders- it also includes Essendon and Richmond. The only reaon I watch with interest from afar is the tribal rivalry - couldnt care less about flags when none of these teams are invovled in the run. As for other metrics - couldnt care less about participation awards - that is 'just' food for banter.
eg Carlton has been able to pizzon every milestone game Collingwood have ever had - nice to know but really only a banter item.
Anyway pinup boy fundgey has laready previously stated that he doesnt beleive that there is a dirty boird Carlton rivalry - because Carlton has been crap all century - he is more into licking Geelong and Shitney crevices and adoring Brisbane these dayz - shifting goal posts and deflections interalced with disparaging lies about all Carlton supporters being welchers is his go to mana.
Start a Brisbane chest pufery fred mate - I know the dirty birders need help - but calling in vagrants from Fitzroy and pussy city as helpers is just pathetic.its incredible every year the same carlton posters trot out the same lines that are proven horribly wrong once the season begins
yet they feel validated enough to continue each off season.
our learned friends continue to drift further and further from reality.
Embarrassing stuff from Rye. I can still hear his moans that Neale should have been AA captain over Bont or Cripps permeating through the AA threadsStart a Brisbane chest pufery fred mate - I know the dirty birders need help - but calling in vagrants from Fitzroy and pussy city as helpers is just pathetic.
not treally because all they have to worry about is price and hedging that - you really dont understand even basic asset liablity management algebra do you? It's amazing that any betting agencies are able to ever offer any odds on anything, isn't it?
ahh a known whiner is he?Embarrassing stuff from Rye. I can still hear his moans that Neale should have been AA captain over Bont or Cripps permeating through the AA threads
I think all neutrals just hate the Blose because thry get an easier ride in '25 than most bottom 8 teams. I'm surprised they didn't slip in some EDFL sides in there for an even greater leg up.Start a Brisbane chest pufery fred mate - I know the dirty birders need help - but calling in vagrants from Fitzroy and pussy city as helpers is just pathetic.
No just a known Carlton troll. He just doesn't make it his sole mission in life like Fudgey.ahh a known whiner is he?
Most Blues fans wouldn't disagree with the easy fixture being a bit laughable.I think all neutrals just hate the Blose because thry get an easier ride in '25 than most bottom 8 teams. I'm surprised they didn't slip in some EDFL sides in there for an even greater leg up.
Most Blues fans wouldn't disagree with the easy fixture being a bit laughable.
But what's more laughable is Fadgey and Corn etc saying we're going to finish 15th with one of the easiest fixtures going around
Two different competitionsVFA,VFL and AFL history shows Carlton 22 flags and the Pies 17, Blues the most flags since the game started.
Your three miserable flags since 1958 is life affirming as well. As for the rest of that piece of dribble you constructed, all hearsay and conjecture mate.No I was being churlish. You almost definitely rorted the cap then too but it was 30 years ago now. If you have to go back to 1987 for your last premiership we’re getting beyond living memory and that’s too cruel even for Blues supporters.
Why would I be bitter? I wasn’t born when most of the Blues success happened and even then Im nearly middle aged. Carlton’s total lack of success for the majority of my life has been heart warming and life affirming
Same sport though. Ourselves and Essendon are the actual big two of footy. Two different competitions
