I think Geelong will take the Bulldogs spot. As long as Geelong beats the saints next week either us or gws should take the saints spot. That's if we beat the swans that is. Relying on Carlton to get us into the finals is fraught with danger.

Yeah I actually pay attention to the football games. 0-3 in our last 3 games against the Swans. All at the SCG however. Swans have won 5 games in a row.

Provided we beat Sydney and West Coast and Sydney lose to Melbourne, we most likely make it? Even if Sydney beat Melbourne, we could still get through if Collingwood beat Essendon and Carlton beat GWS? Win 2 and odds are that we make it!

There are multiple, but the most likely scenario that gets us there is:

We win both.
GWS lose to Carlton in last game.
Dogs lose to Geelong in last game.
St Kilda lose to Brisbane in last game.

If that plays out, then all other games are irrelevant and we play finals, regardless of the Sydney v Melbourne result.

There are scenarios where we win both and finish 9th also.

I think it’s easier than that even. We don’t need all those 3 results. Even IF Saints upset Lions, Dogs beat Cats as long as Blues win we are in (and that assumes Swans lose to Dees in MelBourne)

Basically of the 3 games you mentioned plus Dees vs Swans , we would need 3 of the 4 to go against us if I am reading things right (assuming faves win this coming round)
