In my opinion, Wayne Weidemann was the worst to play 50 games.

The worst ever I would say is Linden Stevens. Although it is only natural that I have forgotten a few duds.

watched him run around in the reserves for west one day and he couldnt get a kick out there. came off the field abusing anyone in sight.

On the topic of Clint's ill never forget the day my boss left a package for his mate behind the counter and wrote Clint on it in capitals but he joined the L and I together accidentally. Write it down, check it out, was comedy gold.

I saw him in that game and an earlier win over the Bears during the "shortened" round three weeks beforehand and he did not seem that bad.

Hawthorn did play exceptionally well in that game - it was the last we saw of the great Hawthorn team of 1982 to 1991 before they declined for good if in a more gradual manner than their ladder placings suggested. They were really hard in the windy conditions - and it is on a very windy day that toughness wins out like at no other time.

Yeah it was windy for sure. They outsmarted us all that afternoon. Adelaide had scoreless 1st and 3rd quarters, failed to score a single point at the south end of the ground.

Has to be Meesen for me. A top ten pick, was on our list not that long ago, and seriously I cannot remember the guy. I mean I can't remember seeing him out on the field being involved with a play, he was that invisible. Same story when he was with a shitty Melbourne squad - that trade for a low pick now looks like a robbery by us! We've had some duds in out time, but he's up there with the worst I've (never?) seen.

PS: Interesting that so many spuds have worn the #1 or #2 over the years (G.Anderson and A.Jarman exceptions obviously). Hoping Crouch will end #2's bad run.
