As for Brock winning the title, who else on Smackdown would have the genuine believability to be the champ?

I could think of maybe 3 on Smackdown who would be noteworthy of carrying the title, besides Brock and be believable.

Daniel Bryan
Roman Reigns
Kevin Owens.

Below that there are guys like:

Orton
Balor
Joe

I do feel that WWE and Vince dropped the ball in regards to not having AJ drop the belt to Joe last year. Breaks up the usual Brock, Roman, Seth monopoly on the title picture. Great on the mic, can definitely build heat and build a great feud and is good in the ring for someone of his size.

Whilst it sucks that Brock just gets another title, the question that needs to be asked is, who else could have been a title holder? Kofi's reign had run it's course. There is a distinct lack of viable world championship options in the WWE right now. And most of them are on Raw.

Good thing the draft is on SD next week

It's all well and good to say that Brock and Jericho are different types of performers hence the difference in booking/in ring time, but imagine paying to go watch and getting a 3 or 13 second or even 2 minute match. That's the sort of crap you pull as a spot in a royal rumble match, not repeatedly in your main event championship matches on ppvs

I went to Mania 32. Up until that point I actually tolerated Brock’s bullshit phoned in matches. (I reckon I was still naive and believed that it was purely a booking thing)

Then I paid to watch that garbage he out on with Ambrose. Reading Ambrose’s piece on what happened that day/weekend makes me angry as fkk at Brock for doing so little, yet being rewarded so much.

Since then, I’ve seen him for what he currently is- a talent eating, lazy performing, character killing, “draw”.

No one is saying short matches aren’t his cup of tea, but the number of less than 3min matches he’s had in recent years, shows its all about the paycheque and nothing else.

“But in sport, people do get lucky quick wins and losses some times”, yeah but this is wrestling. That’s not what people want to pay to see, and traditionally, are highly uncommon.

can't wait for Bray winning the Universal Title tomorrow. Then we'll have both World champs not showing up and making title defenses.
Don’t think there’s any chance Seth drops the title tomorrow. Am guessing there will be a screwy finish leading to a feud for the Fiend, likely with Undertaker.

Ah, forgot that one.
Also, word is the Brock vs Cain title match is gonna happen in... Saudi...

That show is already paid for. You could put anything on that card, and it wouldn't make a difference to what WWE come away with, because they've already been given a flat fee for the show.

Why not use one of the few genuine drawcard matches they have available to actually draw a house?

Or just making title defenses where they should, on big shows, to draw views and ticket sales. Depends on how you view it, I guess.

Also, I think we all forgot, ITS RIYAD SEASON!!?
(Hit play for the Saudis crown jewel ad)

Burst out laughing when Hogan said "You didn't think I'd let all my maniacs celebrate the Riyad season without the Hulkster did ya!?"

Announced Reigns and Bryan v Rowan and Harper in a cage match for the live show in Melbourne.

Has there been a cage match in Melbourne before?

I remembered at least two
  • Shinsuke Nakamura Vs Samoa Joe for the NXT title when NXT did a tour here in 2016
  • Seth Rollins Vs Dean Ambrose for the WWE title (can't remember which year that was)
