maybe with your same team then yes, but u wont have the same team.
keep in mind this is solely for the first test at the GABBA. kaspa is a handful on that deck, and being a seaming deck its prime for stuart clark to partner lee.
i wish it was back in england this year. perfect timing for our tv slots. cricket from 7pm - 3am. especially when u come home from a night on the slops and watch bing lee knock out freddys off peg!!
Whats to say that England dont Field the same team? Whats the say that we wont field a better team? I cant see what you are trying to prove with this comment

you cant field a better team. what you had last year was the best it could get. you englishwomen seem to believe that the series is going to be replayed ie. same teams, same venues, same form....
The ball will not reverse swing after 11 overs in Australia!

If Australia want to win

Langer
Hayden
Ponting
Hodge
Hussey
Jaques
Gilchrist
Warne
Lee
MacGill
McGrath

The batting line up is good anyway. Hodge > Martyn and Clarke. Two leggies without a third seamer is dodgy though. You would want to win the toss and bat.

Actually we can field a better team, we can find someone who can bat to replace Bell :)

Its a risk, but really unless its a seamers pitch then MacGill offers more than any seamer and Jaques is a safer bet than an all rounder, besides Hussey could bowl better than Watson or SYmonds :p

I just reckon that Australia need 2 bowlers who can bowl long spells and allow old man McGrath and Lee short, sharp spells where they can bowl their best

However if McGrath is unavailable then you have a problem as you couldnt use that lineup with Clark or Dizzy or Kasper as the 2nd and only other seamer

Jees your living in a world of hope, haha whats to say we wont get better? Your either extremely bias or just dont udnerstand cricket enough to say that the team cant improve. The team may well be the same come Brisbane, if the team is fit of course, i doubt it, because players like collingwood and cook might come into the side and there is still the question over the spinner.

So many ifs and buts to be sorted out before you can pick a definitive squad, but here goes:

Hayden

Jacques (Langer is just starting to look old and slow - would love to see a champion bow out on his terms, but no room for sentiment when we're trying to regain what is rightfully ours)

Ponting

Hodge/Martyn (leaning towards Hodge at this stage as Martyn failed badly last time, but it will probably come down to early Pura Cup form. Think Hodge was unfairly judged on one dismissal in Sydney, despite the fact he tore an identical attack apart in Perth)

Hussey

Clarke/Cosgrove (Cosgrove should get the nod if he is in early season form, as Clarke has had enough chances and not grasped them. Clarke just hasn't looked up to it for a while now, despite the big wraps on him)

Gilchrist

Lee (Should clearly be batting above Warne now)

Warne

Clark

McGrath
