Harris has his supporters on here but he has been pretty average for a couple of years now. If he hadn’t had his AA years and been in the top 2-3 defenders in the league prior to that, I do wonder whether he’d cop more heat then he does.

He was fine tonight. Gave up a couple of shots on goal tonight to a decent key forward. Far from our worst

We were over 3 goals up twice during the game so if we want to be a flag chance we don't muff it from there against this opposition.
Tough but fair assessment especially for a team gunning for top 2 and 2 home finals that come with it. You are also right about us being valuable on the rebound and Mitchell being a very good coach.

I feel like the best status you have made in some time was the one where you said you were leaving this forum. Take some of your own advice and take a hike champ. You are being rather pathetic
I don't really appreciate the tone of your post. "CHAMP" what is this?

Are your posts meant to be satire?! 🤣🤣
I honestly feel Fagan has done an amazing job to get us to premiership contenders. But we've now been playing the same type of game plan for the last 4 seasons. I feel like we need a new direction. We have the cattle, we just lack in a few key metrics. The game has changed over the last few years and we are being left behind. Struggle in away games, struggle on the big stage. We need some damn accountability for once.

Biggest problem was the easy transition from their d50 to attack. They did what they wanted for all bar the first 10 mins of the game.

Got out marked a lot by Sicily, no one was in the obvious spots to crumb, and the intensity and tackle pressure awful.

I’m not pro dropping bailey for having a bad day - shit happens, but giving away the free kick after priors goal in the 4th was absolutely brutal.

Positives. Prior, Payne Rayner and Fullarton solid efforts.
Not enough marks taken down the line highlighting we have nothing to replace Daniher and McStay structurally. Payne tried but had little support. Hippy not ready for that role yet.
Gardiner gave at least three goal away.
Umpires atrocious, especially the htb v Newcomb in the last. They would have scored less than 5 of their goals from open play that weren’t from poor umpiring or poor defending frees from us.
We weren’t too bad in the middle but they killed us at stoppages around the ground.
Lack of two way running was a big issue today. As was well the poor decision making on the wing with players trying to influence play and being way too late. Multiple times their direct player set up or scored from this.

And why the hell don’t we play someone directly on Wingard. Last three games has had a field day against us.

Thankfully back home next week.

Have to try something. Can’t bank on all our forwards and defenders always being fit

Sure, try Dev or even tom berry but I know who Matho is. He doesn’t win enough clearances, doesn’t use the ball well, and doesn’t offer elite pressure/tackling.

I don’t have a heap of faith about the other options to do any of those but at least there is still a chance they could offer one of those things.

I share other thoughts on here about Harris Andrews not getting the criticism he is due.

He has gone from an All Australian defender to a very ordinary player in just a couple of years

He was so unaccountable today and it is a trend that had been obvious for many games over the last 2 years.

Effectively playing without our 2 best key forwards and we had one out there who’s just back from 10 months off.
Our best performed 1v1 defender / intercept marker.
We have 1 of these players play we probably find a way to win.
Hardly a monumental upset.

Outplayed but again could of pinched it.

The worries:
Gardiner sloppiness
McCarthy drifting out of games
Midfield getting beaten for extended periods.

Time to rebuild.

Disgusting effort. Broken tackles, long bombs, no team defence. Hope Fages has a good look at himself in the mirror tonight. Fish rots at the head.
Normally I give posters the benefit of the doubt, but this kind of silliness does make me think you'd rather us go revert to being crap every week.

Why is everyone all on the Fullerton train all of a sudden? The bloke fumbles every ball. No game awareness. Watch him... he literally handballs backwards 75 per cent of the time. Net negative.
It's the one aspect where the ruck indoctrination has stuck 🤣

That one and Oscar having a free hit at a throw-in and putting down the throat of a Hawthorn player almost caused destruction of furniture at my place. That and Eric turning back into congestion because he wanted his left side when he could've broken into space and ran inside 50. And JL directing traffic in the centre of the ground when he could've chased and tackled. And Charlie burning his mate trying to kick a hero goal.

Might watch from the beanbag next week.
