Anthony Stevens, as the only Board member with football experience, would have to be the most important person in determining Noble's future. Once he says time's up, the others will follow suit and time will definitely be up for David.

Does John Blakey even speak?

He'll get you Gasometer

Cunnington was a such a shit player when he first started. Don't know why we still have him on our list. That's you're argument.

I didn't neglect anything. I just said I wish we had got him, knowing full well that we weren't in a position to get him. But hes a bloody good coach and would have been great for us, if Scott, Joyce and Buckley et al hadn't left our club so ducked.

He wasn't interested. I wouldn't want anyone who wasn't interested in nmfc.
I'll accept the blame for that, but he has a long memory, going back to 1996. And I didn't really say anything too disparaging - apart from point out to him, his complete inability to recognise how North's open forward line worked.

We’re not asking for somebody to come in and take us into the top four.

We just need somebody capable of stemming the bleeding after being outscored by 600 points over the last 10 weeks.
I'm confident that will turn under Noble.

Once we have the team playing four quarters of footy then may be the time to bring in the rock star coach.

The dropping of Thomas is the most defining moment of Noble’s coaching career. It can wake up the group and they all start to pull the line and realise they need to bring 100% all the time or lose the group and spell the end for Noble.
I hope it’s the statement needed for Noble to get the players to understand the standards need to be 100%
Yeah I think the fact he dropped Stephens the week before puts everyone on notice especially with a few more returning from injury post bye. Hopefully we see a clearer picture of what style / expectations he wants adhered to.

If he can’t coach the side to within 30 points of a three win GWS side, then he’s done. Finished. Kaput. Cooked.
GWS get Whitfield and Haynes back. That means they'll have Kelly, Greene, and those two. Those four are all better than LDU and Goldy, who I think are our best players atm. For that reason I reckon a loss by less than 50 points should be the pass mark for Noble

I went back and had a look at where Brisbane were at the same stage of of Fagan’s second season. After 12 rounds Brisbane had one win and a % of nearly 80%; they didn’t score their second win until Round 14 and finished the season with 5 wins.

Forget the percentage for a minute, and if we contemplate that the Brisbane model is the one we’re following, I get a feeling the club is willing to ride Noble out for most of the season and will be hoping for a bounce after the bye (heck, maybe even today against the Giants).

His position, as much as it seems untenable for many of us now, feels like it will be more likely judged by where we are at by Round 20 rather than the outcome of today’s match.
